SO HOW'S THIS for a movie - Susan Sarandon, Penelope Cruz, Paul Walker (that "Fast and Furious" hottie), Alan Arkin, Daniel Sunjata (Broadway's "Take Me Out" hunk) and Chazz Palminteri are the stars. Palminteri also directs. Russell Carpenter, the Oscar-winning "Titanic" cinematographer, performs camera magic.
The project, called "Noel." is being filmed in Montreal and is about five alienated people, each of whom experiences a miracle on Christmas Eve in New York. The producers are Howard Rosenman, Bart Rosenblatt and Al Corley. Rosenman says, "It's a really special, edgy Christmas movie. The screenplay is by David Hubbard, and I couldn't stop crying when I read it!"
Rosenman, who knows talent when he sees it, also predicts that when this movie comes out next year, it will significantly boost young Paul Walker, an excellent actor but perhaps best known as a beautifully chiseled action star. (Walker has the ruggedly sultry looks and intense vibe of a young Paul Newman or Steve McQueen.) |
