I don't know much about the actual life of Ned Kelly, but if the story told through the movie is true, then he did lead an exciting life. Everyone should see that movie, it's worth it. |

| Old School ![]() ![]() | It was mostly accurate except for Naomi's character who was made up for the book (and movie). But yes it's a good film, probably my favourite Heath movie, and just behind Pirates as far as Orlando goes (not that I'm a huge Orlando fan or nothing). Great cast, solid performances... makes me proud to be an Aussie. ;) |

| Creative Maven ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love Ned Kelly. It's been in the mix on cable since the beginning of the year. After the first time I saw it I bought the DVD. Not much on extras but did talk to Heath Ledger. According to him, it was more closely based than any of the previous movies. Most of which were based on those old "dime" novels. Orlando was so good in this movie. I would tell anyone who is still having trouble believing in his talent, should really see Ned Kelly. I read a review that said he stole the movie. I would have to agree - at least for myself personally. I like characters (no disrespect to the real person) like Joe. He was loyal. He kept his head and was so cool and casual. Most importantly, he took care of business when he needed to. Oh, I almost forgot. He was a lover as well as a fighter. Could not have cast any better. |

To Cat: I agree that POTC 2 is presently his greatest acting achievement, but he did steal Ned Kelly from Heath with his powerful performance. He is such a movie thief anyway, unintentionally stealing them from his co-stars, excepting Johnny and Brad. ![]() |

| Junior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() | You’re all welcome! Ironically though it was a result of a debate I had with an Imdb member about Orlando’s origins. I had argued that OB must probably have Spanish blood, coz of his name (his mother’s and his cousin’s names as well), his physical features, and his grandma living in Spain. She just sort of slapped these on my face. ![]() |

| MIHO THE HARTNETT BUNNI!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a very interesting background. My great great great (not sure how many greats) grandpa was booted out of Ireland to Scotland (apparently he was pretty wild) and My great grandpa was famous! There's a statue of him at a ranch in Alberta, and when I went there to see it I learned to lasso (not sure if that spelling is right). It was pretty cool! Yeah, that'll be really interesting to read a memoir of Orlando! |
