| Member ![]() | I feel kind of silly posting this haha, but it's just for fun! (Its clean at the moment but is it clean enough to post here? not sure which words are ok and which aren't) -Compulsion- It was one of those days, you know the ones I'm talking about, where everything that 'can' go wrong does. I had nothing to look forward to, no career prospects, no surprising spur of the moment trips to Paris from my poor excuse of a boyfriend Dave, unlike Olivia. Olivia my ninja, my best girlfriend, my right-hand woman. Everything that 'could' go right for her did, thats how it had always been since we were running around one anothers gardens naked as kids. Olivia managed to snagg the top position of our company, I now for all intents and purposes work beneath her (but I'd rather it be her than someone I struggled to respect, I'm more likely to put an ounce of effort in as opposed to none...on a good day). Olivia has one of those relationships that I crave, it's all there and you can see it's going to last a lifetime, she gets it all, the slushy romance, the amazing hot sex, those bloody incurable butterflies that never seem to die, on top of all that Dave has told me she is soon to be a......fiance. Marriage. She gets all the above and marriage, the closest I'm ever gonna get to that is some drunken proposal at 3am while have my boobs groped, only to awake in the morning with him failing to remember how he even made it home last night. I refuse to see the reason as to which point in my twenty-six years, I failed at life. |

| Member ![]() | Part 2 It was then when I was at my lowest sipping on a white wine spritzer waiting for my collegue in a downtown bar that it happened, it's gonna sound kinda crazy but I swear there must of been something in the air, because I know he felt it too. His deep brown eyes, his short ruffled hair, his tight white t-shirt and his heart-stoppingly slow seductive voice had me controlled in a moment, I knew the words coming from my mouth were incoherrant but he seemed to understand me, I knew who he was as he chatted to me while he ordered a couple of beers, informing me in a joking manner of how lonely I looked sitting in the corner alone and if my 'collegue' didn't turn up I would be more than welcome to join him and his friend, I could see the sincerity in his eyes behind the smirk. It was clear he thought I'd been stood up and I didn't care at this point in time, this guy was gorgeous. As I watched him return to his table I figured I'd give Julian another ten minutes before I took this guy up on his offer. |

| Member ![]() | Now I'm not exactly what you'd call a 'go get em' girl, never have been, never will be, but since he returned to his friend my eyes have been unable to stray too far away from that guy. I'd say I have him pretty much down as I study him, he seems happy, yet there is something in him behind the laughter that he lacks I couldn't quite work it out, but he was content with the night ahead. He was totally the opposite to my Dave, he was tall...very tall I'd say over 6ft, you could clearly make out the muscle definition under his tight tee and jeans, his thighs were large what my Nana would call runner's legs, he had a lot of character as he told stories to his friend, I watched as they casually checked out other girls in the bar, every now and then he would run a hand through his hair, in my mind he was exactly as a man should be. I wasn't sure exactly how long it was that I had been watching him before he turned and caught my eye, I quickly returned my gaze to my nearly empty glass, I knew I shouldn't of looked back but I couldn't help it and I wish I had (I think) as he seemed to get encouragement from that alone, I watched him make a gesture to his friend before standing up and heading towards me. I turned in my chair hoping he would get the hint that I was in no state to be chatting to someone that looked like he could be in the middle of shooting some designer commerical. "No luck then?" He said, even though I was not facing him I knew from his voice he was close behind, the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. I didn't want to be rude so I sheepishly raised my glass to him as I slowly turned to face him, damn those eyes had me again. He smirked. "I said ten minutes right?" "You did?" "I have two theories" He smiled to himself "One you really are waiting for this...'Collegue'" There he went again with the inverted comers "..and they haven't showed, or two you are politely giving me the brush off?" "Would you like to know which it is?" I replied as he nodded and smiled, seemingly intrigued by my answer "I really am waiting for a collegue and no I haven't been stood up" He laughed "I wasn't giving you the brush off as there in my eyes was nothing to brush off" "Well technicallly.." He pondered to his watch "..Your collegue maybe isn't coming, so either way you have been stood up" "Well thanks for that" I sighed. "Is it really that bad?" He turned his head to the side as he leaned forward onto the bar. I couldn't help but look at him, his eyes fixed on mine, he was actually making me nervous. "Nope I guess not" I smiled "But just means I have to get into work extra early tomorrow and I've just wasted over an hour of my night" "Well, not entirely wasted. Come have a drink with me" He caught the attention of the bar tender immediately "Another of whatever she just had" He looked at me questionably "Or would you prefer something else?" "No, no thats fine" I watched the bar tender, I knew exactly who this guy next to me was, but would he know that I knew I wondered. "I'm Kate" I held out my hand to shake his as he laughed aloud and returned the gesture, I couldn't help but notice how big his hand was against mine. "Are you always so formal Kate?" "Not always, just sometimes" I blushed a little. "I'm Josh, never formal" |
