What's happening with Josh's career?

It seems just lately we only hear about a few charity appearances and gossip about his private life... nothing about his movie career.

First there's The Rum Dairy; it appears he has been bumped out of a role that was personally approved by the author or at least his character has been.
Then there's The Queen of the South, the project has been dropped for political reasons and then End Zone, no sign of action there either.
His finished projects don't seem to be fairing much better either; ICWTR has no US or Europe release date yet and it'll be 2 years this summer since filming started. Nothing yet for Bunraku.
It all feels like more of the bad luck that has plagued Josh; the friends he's lost, the missed opportunities.

I just hope things pick up soon.
And one else getting frustrated or concerned?

OMG I know I have to agree with you in what you said. it´s all really....weird?
I don´t get it either.
and yeah, no real project news, mostly gossip about his private life.
where is the Josh we all know and love so much? I wanna see new movies. and I´m going to hit on someone if I won´t get to see ICWTR.

My hopes are on Bunraku!!

and I hope we hear some working news from him very very soon!
this all, what you mentioned above, is really kinda scary, isn´t it?

I think everything happens for a reason, and we all know Josh is a very multi-talented actor, he won't be short of work for long I'm sure.
I wouldn't be surprised if he already has something in the works, however small or big it may be.
I guess I'm concerned because I want to have a movie of his to get all excited about, but I'm sure where he is involved it will all work out soon.

I feel the same, I just love it when he's doing promotion for a new film and I just hope he's working on something really exciting and we'll hear soon.

throw in the fact that it seems his buddies are settling down, and he is reaching out to young 20's. Which I think he still thinks he is, He just got a swell in cash flow so he can afford to be carefree.
We all know he got screwed with August. Its like he just wants to make movies, party, screw models and be left alone by fans , (HeeHee)

well, somehow it seems you are right in what you said above. at least the part that his friends are settling down (at least some, although he always said most of his friends are already married and having children) and also true about the 20s, which I also think he believes he still is. honestly to me he seems like he has a problem with being 30?

I think what Johs's career needs is a really meaty supporting role, in a movie that is edgy but not entirely independent. All these main roles...I dunno, I'd like to see him in a good supporting role that would get him a little bit more in the main stream. he could still be all indy, but I think it would ignite his career a little.

Don Cheadle? Jamie Fox? JOhn Travolta? Woody Harrelson was good, I'd like to them work together again...or to actually see the movie they have already done.
