I would like to ask a question, just curious of what your thoughts are on the subject:

With movies such as The Queen of the South, Wuthering Heights, A Mighty Heart etc., how important do you think it is for the director to stay true to the soul of the book by casting actors/actresses that are the ethnicity of the people or from the country/region portrayed in the book?

that´s actually a very interesting stiory. I remember about TBD that they said that Josh and Aaron absolutely fit the characters by their looks which are described in the book, and that´s true.

Depends on the style of the adaptation, some are not literal translation but I don't think it's always essential.

sometimes the directors and casting directors can see something in the actor suitable for the part and maybe we can't see it just yet.

Actually I sent to the IMDB forum for Queen fo the south, and some thought that selma hayek and penelope cruz were more suited for the part than eva.

I didn´t read the novel, so I don´t have a describtion of the character, but Eva sounds good to me, from what I´ve seen of her as an actress. I bet they will do good
