I wonder if any of the staff (read: cast) will make an appearance for just the footage? I mean, I know when an actual film is shown, a lot of the cast and crew and of course the director are there, but for just footage of a work-in-progress?

I'd say probably not, as they would be too busy to spend time out but maybe.

I'm guessing the reason for the hasty turn out for some footage is because it's just so unique, it's hard to actually explain it to any potential buyers!

yea i think no too. It's just to tiring to travel plus they have to continue shooting in bunraku.

Also, yea i think they want feedback and the producers want to see how this film would market becuase it is very different from the norms.

True. Although I already knew that the footage showing is solely to lure potential distributors, usually people associated with the project make an appearance to act as presenters and essentially market the film.
