A couple days ago, Gackt made an entry noting that they are filming a rain scene for a while. So that's something to look for. He complained about spending the entire day wet and said some incredibly dirty things that I don't think I'm allowed to post here. X3;;;

His latest entry was really bad, though: Josh was supposed to be carrying Gackt on his shoulders but dropped him. Gackt hit his head and blacked out for five minutes. @_____@ Later on, he was running a 39ºC/103ºF fever.

I hope he doesn't have a concussion.

He actually got a full night's sleep for once, though...

As previously mentioned, Gackt doesn't sing in English very often. There's the Stevie Wonder cover, as noted, two John Lennon covers (Love is Real and Merry Christmas (War is Over)), and December Love Song, AKA １２月のLove Song (12gatsu no Love Song). The original English version released in 2002 wasn't very good, but he re-did it in 2006 and his English is WAY better.



Speaking of which, this as well as "Returner" and "Aritakke no Ai de" might be coming out in the US this month. Amazon.co.jp sent an e-mail out advertising re-releases of these singles listed as "American imports."

The latest news from the set comes from Gackt's fanclub-only blog. After filming non-stop for two days, during a scene where Gackt and Josh's character were doing hand-to-hand fighting, Josh accidentally punched Gackt in the nose for REAL! XD;;

Gackt said that Josh then immediately dashed behind him and restrained his arms and said "No! It wasn't on purpose!!" Which Gackt said was "probably a good thing to do." Gackt has kind of a temper sometimes and said that the next time someone punches him, regardless of whether or not it is an accident, he is going to punch back. XD;;;

This is a very loose translation, you'll have to forgive me.

They say that this is, obviously, a picture of a banana but... something about half of it, and eating only half of it (this might mean taking one large bite and eating half of it all at once). And that they weren't going to take a picture of anyone eating it because it would look obscene. X3

As for Gackt's extremely dirty joke in his blog, highlight the text below:

"All day yesterday we were shooting a scene that takes place in the rain.

It was a long filming and I was constantly feeling wetty~ [ウェッティ～] It's a sopping dripping wet party! When you write it out like that it sounds really obscene!

Note that the above was ONLY stated in his private blog which is only accessible to fanclub members. I posted about this on MY blog, and a friend of mine found it offensive, not seeming to understand that this isn't some kind of PUBLIC STATEMENT from Gackt, but a dirty joke intended for fans to laugh at.

Gackt is usually extremely gentlemanly (he served as Julie Andrews' escort when she came to Japan for a movie premiere a few years ago and essentially took her out on a date!) and fairly prudent (except one time several years ago on a talk show, the hosts intimated that he might have a small you-know-what, and Gackt immediately blurted out something really goofy in his defense, but that's a can of worms I won't go open XD;;;).

Oh my gosh, great news: Bunraku footage will be shown at Cannes this month!

The Cannes Film Festival will take place this year May 14-May 25. They won't be showing the whole movie, just some of the footage.
