Remember I posted that sighting of Josh at the NBC building?!

A Piece of the "Rock" for Josh?

Could silver-screen hunkster Josh Hartnett be making the move to the small screen? The 29-year-old Black Dahlia star is rumored to be thinking about proving his comedic prowess on NBC's hit sitcom 30 Rock.

On March 8, the former beau of Scarlett Johansson was spotted exiting the NBC building in NYC's Rockefeller Center after taking part in a script read-through with Tina Fey, creator and star of 30 Rock.

"He's really funny!" one insider tells OK!. "He fit right in with the cast."

And though a rep for the network says Josh has not been cast, sources tell OK! that he might sign on for a four- to six-episode deal that would have him playing a potential love interest for Tina's character.

"Everyone's excited," says the source. "We wish we could keep him longer."

I don't watch the show but I will! This is just soooo exciting!

I havent even heard of it. It sounds like that'll be great part for Josh, he can be really funny! I love Tina Fey, she's hilarious.

mh I don´t know that´s a pretty new show (2006) I think and you know the probs with synchronizing and the show didn´t have good raitings although the critics loved it but NBC will still show it because of the good critics and they great actors.tina fey is so damn cute love her

Great news!! Thanks for sharing Kate. I also have not seen this show. But will look out for it now. Love interest ay??? Cool! should get a bed/kissing scene along the way. Lets hope it happens, and he does the 6 episode deal! x

NBC usually posts all it's shows on their website so you should eventually be able to see it anywhere

I just checked the NBC site; downloads are restricted to the US.

Annie, I'm don't think it's the end of his movie career. A lot of actors take guest appearances on these cool shows. I'm hoping we can trust Josh on this one.

I think he just wants (maybe) to do something different. Can't imagine him thinking of it as a career move. More like something different. He has said before he likes to do things he hasn't done before. Should be alot of fun for him x

I'm guessing it's something to do with owning the rights to a show but only in the US. Other broadcasters outside of the US will have paid to own the rights in their country.

Yes Brad too, where he hated Rachel; funny to think of that now.
