Should we post paparazzi/candid photos?

Recently, I've been thinking if it is Okay to post pap pics of Josh?

I understand that sometimes the pictures are already on some trashy gossip site, is it still okay to post these pictures here/my own josh site? Because there is a difference between a respectable fan site/fan forum and a gossip site.

It is clear that Josh does not like it. Watching that video with Josh and Helena, I get the feeling that Josh does not want to get his picture taken, he dips his head low.
As respectable fans, we should be more interested in his career than his personal life.
There is this other side of me that I would love to see every picture that Josh is in. But sometimes I cannot help but feel guilty that I am prying into his private life.

well honestly though that they are on lots of sides I would say it´s okay to post them here or on your side.
I mean if there are pics like the heath Ledger thing we all knew it was too private to post them and they were rarely on the net. but other pics I think is okay, though that you can see them all over.

so to me it´s okay and i don´t wanna miss them, except those who are like the heath thing, where we can share them in PMs

so i think it´s okay here and on your site.
otherwise we can´t post anything cause then gossip would be also bad, and then the Josh forum would be dead, and I guess that´s what we all don´t want to.

That's a real interesting question Annie.
I have to say I appreciate that on your site, you try not to post candids or at least, you limit them.
Actually, I don't feel good when I see real candids of him. I mean, pics like when he's shopping with Helena. But the pics we saw at that after party, it was ok.
I agree with you and your doubts, I also agree with you regarding the fact that I'm just a little bit schizophrenic too (lol). Feeling guilty and at the same time wanting to know everything. We are definitely crazy girls! lol
I really don't know.
You think just posting the link as regards real candids would be a good compromise ?

i dont know what it is about candids. I noticed that when i put candids on my site, more people view the candid pictures than if they are event pictures, which i do not know why.

When i see those pictures, one part of me forces myself to imagine myself in that situation (camera just flashing infront of me when i'm walking down the street) then another part thinks that they are celebrities and paparazzi is what you get for being famous.

or maybe i'm too tight on this?

well i think when they are on the net they are on the net.
I mean it does not mean we have to post every photo here, we never did, just one or two and the others are on annie´s site mostly.

well honestly that is the price of being famous, yes.
but guys, we always have been protective about Josh and what we post, so I don´t see a problem with that why we shouldn´t go on like that. it was clear we don´t post the pics of Him at teh memorial, that was no problem.
I just think it´s weird when we now stop posting candids, cause as I said, it´s the same with gossip then, my opinion.
cause then we would spread something where we don´t know if it´s true or not.

so I would say we should go on like we always did, cause we all know what we can post and what not

Annie, we've talked about this before and I really want to think how I feel before saying my piece, so I'll reply again later. But it's good you brought this up, it's been bothering me a lot lately.

Well I think there is a fine line between candid and personal and feel that anything personal should not be posted. However, I do think that on this site we as a group are really carefull in posting personal pictures and videos (as in we ask permission 1st before it is posted). Things involving families and personal issues I feel is not right to post somewhere public like this forum and a fansite, but is up to the persons discretion if they would like to send it via PM's.

It's just a matter of trusting that those PM's stay as PM's and dont end up anywhere else. (Which I think we are all very good at keeping private).

I think a lot depends on how we see this site.
Is it important to know that if (big if) Josh was to see this forum, that he would be happy and appreciate what good, respectful fans we are?

Or do we accept that everything we post is already available online so we're not creating any new exposure?

Hard to say one way or the other. I love seeing anything new. I like to see what his wearing, who his with, where he is what they are doing. Thats because l am an obsessed fan ! I get excited if l see him in a magazine, if someone post new pic's. I love my friday night movie of his. I watch and rewind things alot to see him over and over. The way he moves, the way he sounds, his hair, his eyes, the way he kisses. You name it, l love it. But then thats why l'm here. We share our thoughts, worries and love of him and l like that. Lately l have been feeling guilty about seeing some of those pictures, l flash on them very quick and then turn them off. But honestly, l think l still want to see them and know what his up to. Personally l think the distribution of photos through PM's is probably the best way. That way its only people you know, l can have the 'quick' look that l like, and never have to see them again if l don't want to. The fact that its hard for us is that we really care about him, and what this may be doing to him as a person.

To be honest he probably expects his fans to be interested in what his up to. I think if he knows about us, he'd understand how hard it is to not want to see those pictures. But he would like the fact that we don't openly post them.

Yes. I dont know. This all really sucks because just when Josh was finally happy and out and about. But such is life. I can understand that he does not want to be bothered.

I don't think he would be glad to see everything we post here, just because we talk about his private life, and we post pics about his privacy (when he's shopping, it's his privacy). Because he doesn't seem to be a vain person who likes everybody talking and seing everything he does.
When we say "if they are on the net, it's ok, we can post them" : well, let's be clear, if nobody said that, gossips wouldn't exist. Gossips are gossips above all because they are widespread. And they are widespread because fans (like us) exist, in order to satisfy us and our will to know everything about our favourite celebrities. Eveything means also and maybe above all, their privacy. But it doesn't prevent us from feeling guilty sometimes.
And of course, Josh mustn't appreciate that. And meanwhile, yeah, that's a part of celebrity (unfortunately for him).
But, we are human beings and we are fans. And good fans I think, because we wonder about that (thanks Annie for that!).
We are not journalists who have to select what is gossip and what is real information. It's a fan forum, not even a forum specialised in Cinéma (artistically speaking), so, should we really stop posting candids ? I'm nt sure. But we could select candids (as we did for Heath Ledger service).

It's really hard to duifficult to answer for your question Annie.
From one hand I wanted also see all his pictures. They gave me some of joy every day.From the other hand I understand Josh's situation.
Fans intrested all things that he do and did. It's normal. I love to know new facts about him and I think that most of you too.
I recognize also that some pictures are too private tu put them everywhere.In this "accidends" we can send these private pictures to each other by PM.I think that is good idea.
Soss is so nice that you organzie to yourself Josh movie fridays.So sweet. Lately I saw almsot all movies with him another time.It's only one good reason when man is ill and must be in your bed.

I thanks that we can't stop posting his candids pictures.We shouldn't posting too private pictures officially but rest we can.In my opinion of course.

I think whast looppy said is really good. I mean candids are candids and to find somewhere else also on the net.
but for all of us it was clear from teh very beginning we would never post any pics of his family or TOO private pics, like the Heath Memeorial ones or something liek that.

well as you said Kate, we had this question once and ended up still posting them but we ourself absolutely knew what to post and what we don´t post and just share in PMs.
