Josh Hartnett Scene Gisele Bundchen ; Josh Hartnett ; PSL Them: When she was working, Gisele was hardly a partier. She stayed in and got a lot of sleep and maybe had a glass of wine at the very most. But when she had time off and she didn't have to be up early in the morning, she could definitely have her fair share of fun. And having just finished walking at a fashion show (one of her last, she hoped) in Brasil, and with something that resembled some kind of a vacation on the horizon, she was more than ready to go out, dance and have a good time. There had been a party in Brasil after the show but she had no complaints when her friends had suggested going out after being back in New York for a night. Even though the weather in New York hadn't become so hot and stuffy that it was unbearable, the temperature noticeably rose just slightly as she stepped into the club, but the VIP area was a little cooler since it was noticeably less crowded. The whole place was somewhat exclusive, you had to be "someone" or at least have a friend of "someone" to get on the list, but Gisele still preferred VIP. It wasn't as if she was held down as if there was some kind of electric fence, though. Wherever it looked like people were having the most fun, she would probably be found there. She settled down on the end of the circular booth they had been set up in, sipping at a drink as the group of them caught up on what had happened while she had been out of the country. Acquaintances of those in their group just randomly came up to their table and there wasn't much order but that was just the way she liked it and soon enough, it probably wouldn't take much prodding for her to get up and start dancing. Me: Josh usually liked the quiet life. He'd had his share of parties and when he did get out, boy he lived it up. Josh had this way about him that made people think he was shy. This was a false assumption, as he was anything but shy. You just had to get his attention and keep it. There were those who did keep it, though. Most of them didn't include LA and NY's hottest party people however. The Hilton's, Lohan...they just didn't click with Josh. He was the type who liked to hide out of the spotlight. Keep to himself. There were celebrities who claimed they wanted privacy, but then there were those who actually kept their privacy, well, private. Tonight, Josh was ready to get out and on the town. He was restless, actually, having been a hermit for the longest time. He enjoyed New York enough to love the nightlife. Entering a VIP room, something that still blew his mind that he was able to get in, he immediately walked himself to the bar to get a drink. Something to get him awake and in a party mood. His eyes scanned the room over the rim of his glass as he searched for a familiar face. Usually he went out with friends, but tonight he was solo. That was until he saw his good friend Gisele sitting in a booth to his left. Grinning to himself, he made his way through the crowd of people to the booth and slid in beside her without a word as he noticed a few men looking over at her. "Don't you hate it when men just assume they can look at you and slide into your booth without asking?" he said, loud enough so she could hear, but not much louder. Them: It wasn't unusual for her to get attention from men. She could tell pretty easily when someone was checking her out or even when someone was talking to her only so he would have a good excuse to check her out up close, but the experience with it had also given her the acquired skills of being able to brush it off pretty easily, as sort of sad and strange as that was. To herself, Gisele was just a regular girl and nothing really all that special. So to see men lose the ability to speak or carry on normally in front of her was always a little weird to deal with. Everyone had sort of gone off into their own groups and she was left to watch the action of what was going on around her when she suddenly had company next to her. A brief frown crossed her lips, not really looking forward to brushing off unwanted company before she heard that distinctive voice and got a good look at him, realizing the company was not all that unwanted, because it was Josh. Laughing at what he had said, she shook her head and grinned at him. She was one of those people who, once you were close with her, once you were friends... you were that for life unless something crazy happened. "It's horrible," she told him, still smiling before she completely dropped the act and hugged him the best she could given the way they were sitting in the booth, her arms squeezing around him. "Don't you hate it when women assume they can paw you just because you sit in their booth?" Her voice was teasing, a laugh falling from her lips before she backed away enough to take a sip of her drink. "Probably not," she added, answering her own question for him with another grin. "It's been awhile. How are you?" She had to raise her voice only slightly to be heard over the music and other people's conversations, but she wasn't straining too much to speak or to hear him. Me: Gisele had this atomosphere about her that Josh was constantly drawn to. Just something about her bright personality and easy going attitude that captured him and made him want to be around her. He was very much a guy who was easy to talk to once he got over the fact that he was talking to a beautiful woman. Josh had a complex about talking to women at first. It was a work in progress. Making a face when she said the first sentence, a face like she was crazy, he looking around suspsciously. "Right. I detest it when beautiful women paw all over me. Makes me feel cheap and degraded," he lied, giving her his trademark half smirk. Leaning in so he could hear what she was saying, he shrugged. "It has been quite a bit," he agreed, taking a sip of his drink before leaning back over. "I'm doing okay. Been scattered lately, but that's nothing new in this business. How about you? I bet you've been all over the place too," he commented, smiling at her. Them: She was laughing at him again, shaking her head in amusement as she gently elbowed him in the stomach because she knew he was just teasing her. Gisele... she would talk to almost anyone when she was in a good mood. She was just a naturally happy person, and she spread it around accordingly because what fun was being happy without enjoying it with friends? As he spoke, she listened, nodding while she sipped her drink. "A little here, a little there. You know how it works." It was an understatement, she had been all over quite literally but she wasn't going to make a big deal about it. Since she had seen him last, right before the end of the year, she had been flying around from Europe to Brasil to LA to Miami back to New York and then some. But it was always good to see Josh. He had been in and out of her life for what seemed like a long time, and seeing familiar people was always the one thing that could at least slow the fast pace her world usually ran at, down even just a little. "What if I wanted to dance with you?" she asked, grinning after a few moments of mutual silence. She started to move her upper body around to the music, trying to at least tempt him to go out with her. Not that she would force him, but it would at least be fun to try. Me: Josh tried to defend himself from the elbow to the stomach, but he couldn't beat her in time. "Ow," he faked. She hadn't really hurt him of course, but he could play along with it. "Modest," he told her, calling her out on her being a little here and there. She was an important person. She was everywhere. Josh had been linked with a few people in the past, more recently people he wasn't even really involved with. It amused him more than anything. There would probably be pictures of him and Gisele actually, now that he thought about it. Thinking along those lines, he didn't really see any reason for them not to be linked. They'd been friends for a while and she was a dear friend of his. Hearing her request, he paused as he debated it. Josh wasn't much of a dancer. He could dance and could dance well, but getting up and moving took effort he usually didn't express. Arching his eyebrow, he watched her move and then laughed softly. "Okay, you've convinced me," he told her, standing as he slid out of the booth, extending his hand to hers. "Be prepared to be amazed," he joked. Them: There had always been reports of them being more than just friends. Sure, maybe there had been a few times where they had done more than just friendly things, but they had never had anything like a serious relationship like that had been alluded to by different gossip places. Not that she would just randomly hook up with anyone in a club, either. They were just good friends. And as for whatever gossip came from it? She didn't care. She lived her life the way she wanted to, and spent her time with whoever she wanted to spend time with, not caring much about what anyone but the people who mattered to her said about it. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, grinning as she took his hand and pressed a kiss to his cheek quickly as they started toward the dance floor. "I am on the edge of my toes," she told him, laughing before she started to move her body to the music. She had grown up in Brasil dancing to even just the music in her head, and she loved it. In Brasil the dancing was a little different and she could lose herself pretty easily, but she also didn't mind getting lost with someone else. Taking his hands in hers, she moved with him goofily for a moment as she got used to to dancing with him. Me: "Well if you're on the edge of your toes, don't fall please. I don't want to be known as the guy who had to pick up the embarrassing girl," he smirked. Of course he was kidding. That was just his sense of humor. She should know that he would never mean something like that. Getting into that dancing rhythm was the most awkward. Figuring out how your body meshed with the others...that was the real trick. Josh didn't really move much as he watched her, his eyes roaming over her body gently as he watched her body move in time with the music. She had a gorgeous body. One most models and women couldn't touch, literally and metaphorically. Smirking, he began to move with her and the music, his body forming with hers. Taking her hand, he pulled her a bit closer, not minding the entra contact nor the few stares they were getting. Josh, alone, wasn't much to stare at. But Gisele?
