Some actual Rum Diary news!!!!!

Finally after so many years, is The Rum Diary really going to be in production soon??!!

Check out the Variety article with some cool Josh connections!
There's no mention of Josh yet but Jason on board, Josh must surely be involved.

I just love this book and adore the character of Yeamon!

WOw....that is REALLY great news, if Josh is indeed involved that is. I need to re-read the book, I don't remember it that well. I went through my beat writer phase when I was like 19 or 20, which explains why I can't really remember it that well.

I think I'll re-read it over the weekend, and try to picture Josh as Yeamon. That will be fun.

I only read it when I heard Josh was possibly going to be part of the cast but that was about 4 years ago. Though I've read a bit more of Hunter since then.

Jo - You should read Twilight. you would like it, its young adult fiction but all my bookish friends have read it and loved it. It's about a girl who falls in love with a vampire and its not cheesy, its addictive. She has a knack for nailing sexual tension. and of course, Josh makes THE MOST PERFECT VAMPIRE.

Yeah Jo, its a total coinsidece that I mentioned that book ..It flipped OP out. And yes she sure does have a Knack for S. Tension...Its an easy read..I mean you cannot put it down....Im so in Love with Edward !! I just got out of the meadow....

Thanks Kate. It's so great to finally hearing more about this production. I hope Josh stays involved. I'm still holding off on the book until there's something more definite on him. I'm anxious to read it with him in mind.

I just finished reading The Rum Diary today. It was very good. The character of Yaemon is clearly the most off his rocker of all of the others. If the screen play is true to the book, there will be many fight scenes, mucho cussing, and JOsh will play his most challenging role yet. I think....

The female character in the book plays a really big role in the story. She's decribed as small, sexy, blond haired blue eyed....kick me but you know who I was thinking of...I tried not to, really I did.
