"August" Casting news!

Josh's "brother" and "daddy" have been cast...

Adam Scott and Rip Torn have marked their calendars for "August," joining Josh Hartnett in the indie feature.

The script follows an aggressive dot-com entrepreneur (Hartnett) in New York struggling to keep his head above water as the bottom of the market begins to fall out in the weeks leading to September 11. Scott will play Hartnett's brother, while Torn is their father.

The film will be shot on location in New York, beginning April 16. Austin Chick will direct.

BTW, the father, in which movies has he played, I know this face, but don´t know in which movie I´ve seen him!

I have to google Adam. I wish it was a "Big" star for his bro. I really dont care for Rip Torn.Except for Josh, the cast seems ho-hum to me.

Googling Adam Scott will lead you to some golfer... try IMDB instead. He was in The Aviator ... not that I'd heard of him before now. A big name would have been nice, or better still, Sam.

I like who they picked for his brother physically (haven't looked him up yet so that's all I'm basing this on) but as for their father, that guys got a lot to prove to me. I haven't seen him much but what I have seen I didn't like. We'll just have to wait and see. Maybe he'll shock me!

Adam reminds of a mix between Eric Bana and Jude Law. He's alright, I guess, but not quite as Josh's bro. Oh well, we'll see, right?

I only saw Rip Torn in Men in Black, and there he was hilarious.
