Funny Josh story.. couple years old

I was at a party last Saturday and, like so many Minnesotans, one of the guys there had a story about his brush with our local celeb. This guy was probably 40 years old and is a delivery driver.

Apparently, a few years ago he was delivering a load of patio furniture ordered from Restoration Hardware. He headed to south Minneapolis, drove up to the address listed on the ticket and knocked on the door. A young guy answered the door and the delivery guy asked "Hi, is your dad home?" The young guy replied "Nope, this is my house." The delivery guy was confused for a second (this seemed like a lot of house for such a young person) and looked back at the delivery ticket. It was then that he recognized the name (obviously the ticket said "Josh Hartnett), put two and two together and said "Oh! Are you that actor guy?" Josh replied "Yeah, I'm an actor." He asked Josh about working with Harrison Ford. Supposedly, the delivery guy brought the furniture to the back yard and Josh offered to pay him well if he would assemble it for him. The delivery guy said he didn't do that and left.

That's it! I thought it was kind of a cute story because of the dad comment.

And Josh obviously isn't very 'handy' (or he was too busy) if he couldn't manage a bit of self-assembly... bless!

Haha, but he didn't even look that young a couple of years ago. I mean, it was obviously after Hollywood Homicide... :/

Anyway

This is a great little story. It's always nice to hear about people who met him!
And for Josh' defence; it is mad hard to put stuff together like that! All furniture that comes out of a store like IKEA f.ex. I always f*ck it up. I can't close one of my drowers! It simply doesn't fit. Haha.

I think he probably looked a bit young to own a $2 million house.

Thanks so much for the cute first-hand account of a Josh encounter, Tanya.

Up until about a year ago, I even thought Josh looked really young for his age. Only in about the past year or so have his looks seemed to mature a lot. When my sister first saw him in Hollywood Homicide she thought he was very boyish looking, but that he had a mature voice.

Remember a while back when he was on The Late Show with David Letterman, Josh said that he tried to paint and fix the plumbing in his house to no avail. Didn't he say that he flooded his basement? That's OK though, many men aren't handy in that way. But they usually make up for it in other ways.

That furniture stuff is always difficult to assemble. My husband has been so frustrated in the past at some of the things I have bought home for him to put together. The darn things never have all the screws, nuts, bolts, etc. that are needed.

Besides, maybe Josh just got his Dad to do it for him--that is, when he got home. LOL

I wonder what kind of furniture style he has..I doubt it if the typical brocade.flower Victorian look. I bet its more "wood" like a library I mean leather couches tuffted, and bookcases. I wonder if Scarlett was there ? and if he has BBQ's in his yard. I feel sorry for Ellen. The first girl always get the boot.

Flute, he probably does have a BBQ. I would think so. He's such a homie guy, and grilling is cozy, so I definitely think he has one for summer nights. He seems like the kind of guy who would enjoy it, anyway.
