A very kind friend of mine from Brazil sent it to me but I think it's available online from Australia now.

You're right Jocasta, it is available in Australia apparently.

http://atlanticdvd.com.au/ (just use the search to bring it up, I couldn't paste the actual movie page) has it, as does http://dstore.com.au/?cat=DVD&action=view&id=802658 , while http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/787490 is out of stock, but might be worth checking back to see if they have it available later.

But remember that Australia is region 4, so you'll need to have some way to watch other region dvds (ie. burn it to your computer then make a copy for your dvd player). Hope that helps Aloha.

So, which version is this? Does it say, or is there only one version available? I'm a bit confused, because I read some stuff about different cuts and I don't remember half of it...I think both Josh and Jerry Newport said they liked the "other version" better...

I have no idea, sorry Kashie. It doesn't say anywhere, and I haven't been reading the dvd reviews in the papers the last few weeks to find out.

I think this might be the only version, though. Didn't they eventually compromise and release a version that none of them loved, but could all tolerate?

Possibly. That sounds like something they would do. I'm not sure AT ALL, just popped into my head, that I read something about different versions. I'm sure Jo can tell us for sure, though.

I'd want both versions if there were more too, Annie!

I HAVEN'T SEEN MOZART AND THE WHALE EITHER!!!!

And Plastic Flute, I just watched Pearl Harbour last night because I hadn't seen it in a long time, and I was so sure I wouldn't cry this time because the last time I saw it I only cried at one part (when Rafe .... never mind lol! NO SPOILERS FOR YOU MISSY!) But this time I absolutely bawled through the entire thing!!! I think it's because now I'm getting older (not old, just older) and I've been through SS where you see and hear all the stories and the horror and confusion, and you realize it wasn't all that long ago. It just really hit me that I know people who were part of that war, and it just seems so much more real this time around. It really happened to real people. I always wonder what it was like to live in that time, but at the same time, I never want to know. Especially with all the nuclear talk now.

Sorry, just realized I always spell Harbor the Canadian way... it's Pearl Harbor, not Pearl Harbour lol!
