I'm not going to deny it, I would love to see Josh in a science-fiction film. I love science-fiction films! But, unfortunately, I don't think Josh would like to be in one. I hope I'm wrong, though.

It was maybe a year or so ago that Josh was first mentioned with the John Carter thing but that was when Robert Rodriguez was directing... I doubt Josh will be involved now.

And the Wish You Were Here project, Josh wrote (I think) about the time he did BHD.

The Wish You Were Here story has always sounded intriguing to me. But the John Carter project sounds a little freaky to me. I just can't picture Josh in that role.

Just a side note:
I watched some of the MTV Movie Awards last night (as much as my old self could handle) and I couldn't help wishing once again that Josh would attend at least some of these kinds of events, even if it's just for his fans and no other reason. I get that he doesn't like them, but I just wish he would.

He could still have his private life, but give his fans a little tidbit to hang on to until his next film is released.

I agree with you Olive. Just for the fans. If I were a celeb I would think about my fans a lot, and do stuff for them. I wish Josh would be like that, but, with no hard feelings, he seems to either forget, or not care, about us.
Would be nice also, to see him talk about his fans. Maybe about how he feels about us.

I agree with Kashie, I really wish Josh went out more. but actually I also respect his attitude to all those parties and events cause it makes him kind of stand out from all those typical Hollywood stars, just shows there is more depth to him if you know what i mean. By the way Scarlett is all over the place. I used to think that he would go out more when they started dating but that does not seem to be the case. Anyway, Josh is COOL!

We all know Josh is shy. I think things like the MTV events and such makes that shyness go into high gear.
He looks so uncomfortable sometimes , it looks almost painful for him. Besides, I think he's cool
too for not doing all these things. When celebs show up everywhere you get sick of them. Then they
want to claim they're not partiers, but show up at every party.

You always want to leave 'em wanting more.

Oh, I get the impression Josh is quite the partier and not shy in the least. I just think he shuns media attention so much that some people might lose interest. I don't want to see him at everything, but I sure would like to see him at a few high profile things every now and then.

I'm sure (I'm guessing!) on his own terms, at his kind of places, that that's true. It's just events covered by the media he looks (and is?) ill at ease.
I'd hate him to become a media-wh0re, which some people predicted he would when he started dating Scarlett but a few high profile, classy events would be nice... like the AngloMania fashion thing he was at with Scarlett. (at which... he looked sexier than ever before)

I'm sorry to say it but I think you all are getting a tad greedy in saying Josh should go to more media covered events. It's obvious from the projects we've seen come out that he has better things to do. He has a life to live like all of the rest of us, and in order to do that he can't be going "well, my fans would really enjoy this, so I should do that." You simply can't please everyone at the same time.
