Sighting in MN.

From our "favourite" reporter CJ...

Josh Hartnett slumped but could not avoid detection Monday when he dined and caught sax player Joshua Redman at the Dakota.

"He was slouched at his table wearing a hat as if he was hiding. After the show, he and his entourage waited for most of the other guests" to leave the Minneapolis jazz club, reported an e-mailer, who assumed Hartnett was with family. "He appeared to be a very polite customer."

The Dakota confirmed the sighting, sadly noting that Scarlett Johansson was not with him, although there was a woman at the night spot who bore a resemblance to the movie star (who may still be Hartnett's girlfriend).

Combining his love of jazz and some family time? Sounds good and he's "very polite"!

You are right he is polite and it seems he does travel in a possee. I wonder if he will get back to NYC, for the last night May 20th..of his play Ham Lake? are ther any pics of his family members avail?

Yeah, that´s what I´m interested in, too!!!
But I don´t think that there are any pics of josh with his family!
But, I would like to see of whom he gets his beauty!!!!

I've never seen pictures of his parents, at least not knowingly. I love that Josh protects his family from the media.

I am super curious what his mom and dad look like too, but in all honesty, I'm really happy there aren't pics of them floating around. It just would feel wrong.

He was probably doing some research on his new role while spending time with his family. It would have been so cool to see him with family, if that's who he was with...he's probably a good family guy....

Sad he has to hide in his hometown, though..

I bet he'll be back for the end of Ham Lake. If not, maybe he'll be on my flight out to NYC for the Stationery Show on Monday!

I'm not surprised Scarlett wasn't with him at the Dakota. I think she's filming a movie in NYC right now.. Nanny Diaries, I think?

Hey ....Mpls..I wrote to Sam Rosen ..and gave a review also of the play . I mailed it to the Huron club .But I included a copy of the little 5x7 Ham Lake card for Sam and Josh to autograph...I hope I get it back...I bet he will be back also..He gave Sam a big hug at the end of the the play...I hope you see him........GL

I know the play was excellent...Sam Rosen is real good looking to ...and he's nice to talk to..he said Hi to everyone after the play. Me and my hubby told him how awsome he was..and he shook our hands he was happy and nervous.I was still on another planet having Josh..one foot away from me,,,,and when Josh leaned forward to look at something... the famous "Horn rimmed glasses" fell out of his pocket !!!like 2 feet away from me!!!! for 2 hrs I saw Josh...push his hair with his left hand off his ear..adj his collar and touch his lil chin hairs..prob his nerves..He had a budweiser...tan cargo pants a beige plaid long sleeve shirt...and yes the boots!!!!I heard him talk to his pals...laugh ..I was dying the whole time..when I walked by i sahim...my left arm touched his baseball hat he shoved in his back pocket...and I on purpose took a big whiff...and he smelled "soapy" like he just took a shower...my mouth was dry..and my heart was pounding...but like what mpls said..it was SAms night..and I had to be cool...It was so low key..when I was in the bathroom after the show......a couple of the girls he came in with ..were in there..I asked them if they liked the play? they said yes..one girl was nice and left..but I said to the other girl..wow its great to see Josh here..Im starstruck...She says to me real snoty...HES JUST AN ACTOR!!!!I said meekly back..I know...What I wanted to say is look b..... He's on my screensaver !!!!l and Im a member Josh forum fanhost.....so back off!!!lol

Thanks for the very personal review! I absolutely love hearing about these encounters... they have such intimate details that only true fans would ever think to give. And although I can't deny I'm jealous, I'm also thrilled that fans from this forum have had such close encounters! To have brushed past his baseball cap... in his BACK POCKET is so cool and to be near enough to know how good he smelt is wild!

I do.. .. and Im lucky for my hubby he is like Hey Hon ..Your Josh is here!....When we first got there my hubby goes..theres all girls here..I said ..I wonder why ??? than random guys came in w/backpacks...just reg looking..an than Josh.Josh shook hands w like all the guys..and one man that came in w/me was at the bar. He was the guy Josh hung out with most they were looking at certain passages of a paperback book and in a discussing it.Real artsy..I can see how Jerry coins him intense. It kinda seemed like a private party..but the tkts were for public sale after all.Iwish I would have said to the girl in the bathroom...I think Josh likes some of his fans...and left it at that.But..it is a dream come true..Jocasta I think it was you who posted the info on the play,,if it wasnt for you I would have never had met Josh..TY from the bottom of my heart
