Wahlberg assist. says Dahlia 'on hold'........

According to angelfire.com/de/palma, The Black Dahlia has been put on hold at this time. I really don't understand all this, but it appears that, for whatever reason, filming will not start as previously scheduled. I don't know if this information is reliable, though.

Olive, I'm sad to hear there's a problem with The Black Dahlia; it's such an incredible character for Josh, but I'd heard rumours of financing problems and so I spent last week worrying when I got back from my holiday, news like this may have broken.
But let's try and be positive... especially after all the work Josh has put in preparing for this role.

Hollywood.com claims that the filming will begin in september. Don't know how reliable that is but they also mentioned that the writer of Elephant Man has done some work on the script [img]graemlins/goofy.gif[/img] Thats really exciting news

I'll be so pissed off if this film isn't made coz I've just finished reading Dahlia & was so looking forward to Josh as Bucky, also what with the "slicked" slightly off centre hair and thick rimmed glasses Josh has had lately it looked like he's really psyched for this movie.That is such a 1940's look and quite frankly if the movie has been put on hold I'm guessing he's probably really pissed off too,and anyone who pisses Josh off has us to deal with!!!! :mad: [img]graemlins/stare.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/shake.gif[/img]

I feel confident that this movie will be made. The question is 'when?'.

Sure, Josh may be frustrated with the delays, but I'm sure this is quite common in the movie industry. Nevertheless, it must be so agravating to train/etc. for a movie just to have the start date delayed.

It seems that all of Josh's films are delayed either in production or release dates. Wicker Park has been "completed" for about a year now...O took forever to be released, Pearl Harbor had budget issues, I think this movie will be made. There is too much buzz around it. People I work with (the opposite of Josh fans, I work at a video store and they all make fun of Pearl Harbor :confused: ) have talked about this movie and how they are excited to see it.
