Hard to say, I like them both, very much but they are different. With about half an hour of the film left I was feeling pretty sure how it was going to end; it was following the original to the letter. But then things started to alter until at the end it was completely different. I like this Americanized ending; it was so touching to see two people so hopelessly in love finally get together, knowing neither had betrayed the either as they must have thought before. One thing that bothered me was the Daniel storyline (the widowed man who was hassling Lisa). In the original he plays a significant part in the ending... to the point that Lisa doesn't end up with Matthew/Max. (Isn't Max a much sexier name than Matthew.) If they were going to write that out then why not change his part altogether? The flash backs in WP were easier to follow than in L'A... in a way they were done better in WP. Where L'A scores over WP is in the sex scenes. The French version is more passionate, more detailed, more sexy! God, if only Josh were playing Max and not Matthew! |

| I didn't even realize that they changed the name. Weird, has anyone else noticed that Josh plays characters named Matthew frequently...Matt Eversman in BHD, Matt in 40/40, and now Matthew...strange, I wonder if he is used to being called that by now... |

More like a twisted Cinderalla story. For those who have seen the movie, once the shoe didn't fit, I immediately started cheering for Matt to put the pieces together and FINALLY reunite with Lisa! Awwwww.... And call me emotional, but that last scene almost made me cry. Great Acting by Josh! (As always) same goes for Rose Bryne for pulling off the "Obsessed-depressed" girl. I had to laugh though when Matt's friend(Matt Lillard) was calling Alex those names, right infront of her! LMAO... for a second, I thought, okay! He's a goner! But ofcourse no one dies in the movie! *phew* Which made me a very happy camper! Overall great Suspenseful movie! Twisted, but very romantic! And given the hopeless romantic that I am, I give it 2 thumbs up! (Thanks for that , Jocasta). |

| In my second viewing, I found myself much more emotional when Matthew and Lisa were finally reunited at the end. I also found myself getting more caught up in the emotions of all the characters. I felt so sorry for Luke when Alex told him that it was over between them and that she had used him. The look on his face was so sad. It was clear just how much Luke really cared about Alex. | Oh, I wish they kept his name as Max too. I don't like it when Josh's character's are named Matt because that's my brother's name. I was happy with the ending of WP, for a while there I was worried Lisa would end up dying or something. The Daniel storyline did seem to be missing something, but I guess they needed it to explain why Lisa was staying with Alex. |

| Creative Maven ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would say see it for yourself. The reviews have been wide-ranged. I've listened to others before and ended up missing some really great movies I wished I would have seen at the theatre instead of just on t.v. I was a little nervous about the reviews at first. When I saw it for myself, it was great. And it was even better the second time. You really get a chance to get into the characters without having to worry about what's coming next. You already know. I say go and enjoy. |

| I loved the movie. I think all the actors did an excellent job, especially Josh and Rose.. when he cried i almost cried too I was sure that the movie would be much more complicated then it actually was, i guess because i was expecting something really complicated. but still i found it quite surprising and i really enjoyed the movie. I hope to see it again soon |
