Would you believe I have just seen it this afternoon for the very first time! I didn't even know the storyline, so you can imagine how much I cried at the end!! (LOTS!!!!) Don't think I have cried like that over a film in ages!! So heartbreaking that Danny died!

By the way, how sweet is Josh in the scene where he takes the hankie round to Evelyns house!! :D

Hes just so adorable in it, I kinda knew he was gonna die, but I was so hoping it wouldn't happen, and then when Rafe was with the little Danny at the end, sob, I was crying so much, I nearly choked!

Even though I can understand some of the criticism it receives, it does still make me cry... so it can't be all bad.
Personally the ending sucks; I'd much rather Evelyn died and Danny and Rafe end up "happy ever after"! ;)

Anyone but Josh dying, but I am glad they made friends, It was so awful when Rafe was in the bar being nasty to Danny!! Dannys just one of those good guys! What did it get criticised for?

I think it was because of the love story in the movie. The critics wanted it to be just a war movie.

Apart from when he was a bit nasty to Danny, I really liked Rafe in it, the end scene between them was so moving!

I don't have the 2-disc edition. I have the Pearl Harbor Director's Cut edition.

Director's Cut. It is a 4-disc DVD and it has the boot camp video, trailers, posters, behind the scenes and other cool stuff.

I don't know if Region 2 has something similar to the Director's Cut which is Region 1. Maybe you would want to ask some of the girls here to see if there is something like that.

Yea that's what she meant. Too bad I couldn't help her much, since I live in the States and all the DVD's I have and that I am able to play are Region 1.
