^^Upon further searching, I found that Pearl Harbor will not be shown on 5/19, but that NBA Basketball will be shown instead.

Hopefully it will pop up someway, somehow, somewhere. So in the meantime to keep the topic going, I'm going for a few more questions...

2. Who's your favourite other character, after Danny and why? “Red” because he became the best friend kind of after Rafe went off to England and then even more after he was reported killed. Red supported Danny when he started to fall for Evelyn. You could see Red didn’t like it when Rafe came back and was giving Danny hell in the bar; and especially when Rafe hit Danny. My heart just went out to him because not only did he go through Rafe’s death, he had to go through Betty’s, then all he could do was stand by and actually watch Danny’s, and then come back along with Rafe to have to face Evelyn as she realized Danny was dead.

3. Post, if you can a favourite picture from the movie. I can’t post a picture, but my favorite shot of Danny is when he is giving blood at the hospital and he looks up into Evelyn’s face.

4. When did you first see PH and tell us anything about your experience of watching it? – already answered.

I can't post a picture either, but----

One of my favorite shots of Josh from the movie is when Danny and his crew arrive on Hawaii and first meet Gooz, Earl, and the others already there. I love the way Josh says, "Y'all pilots?" The shot of Josh when he says, "Terrors of The Skies" takes my breath away because he is so gorgeous! [img]graemlins/faint.gif[/img]

I seem to be the only one out and about today, so I've answered a couple more questions...

5. How would you rate the movie, compared to Josh's other film?

I don’t know if I can rate PH in comparison to Josh’s other movies, except to say it is one of my all time favorites. I like all his movies in different ways. From the movie itself, to the individual characters he plays, to the level of his skills at the time, to how the movies and his roles came into development.

6. A sequel or prequel... any ideas or wishes?

I read a fan fiction story a long while ago that could be a sequel to the movie. It was very good. I was surprised. It picked up after Danny’s death in the movie. The author managed to keep Danny alive even though no one knew. And Danny’s battle from very near death to back into his life was just as heart-wrenching as watching Danny die in the movie. The author also introduced a new character that turned out to be the perfect partner for him. The author really stayed true to his character. The story is told in 5 parts; however the author never finishes the last part – BUT IT IS WELL WORTH THE READ ANYWAY. I was communicating with her for a while, but she’s since disappeared. She’s really good. This would really work as a sequel. Her story doesn’t ruin the original movie at all. In fact it really adds to it. You get a lot of Danny and if you thought you loved him before… [img]graemlins/faint.gif[/img]

It's slow again today, so I'll finish my response to this topic...

7. What's you least favourite moment and would you change anything? It’s an overall thing for me. The movie emphasized Rafe as “big brother” and Danny as “little brother”. Like I said before, I read the book and in the book there was only a few months difference in their age but they were more even. Danny’s character was a little stronger. Danny didn’t come off so innocent. He and Rafe were more equal; on skill levels and abilities. And Danny flirted with Evelyn too at the eye exam. Although I love Danny in the movie and I understand how it had to be the way that it was, I would have let the book version of him be seen a little more.

8. Favourite quote. Danny: Yeah, well, I'm training for moments like these...'cause I have no idea how I'm gonna get this car out of the sand.

This is my favorite quote because of the way his voice sounded. And when he got to the word “sand”, I was like OMG. Like I hadn’t really heard his voice throughout the whole movie before then. I guess I was too busy watching him the first time. But after that, listening to him was just as important as watching him.
