I just thought as today is the Pearl Harbor anniversary we could maybe have a little topic about what we did to remember this day or just talk about JOSH and the movie!

On my side I watched Pearl Harbor last night as it was on TV last night.Nice to see Josh on TV again! :D

I'm going to watch the movie on DVD later today. And I updated my Pearl Harbor fansite dedicating the post to all of those who lost their lives and survived the attack.

This is a great topic. I've been looking for things on the tube but haven't found much yet. I'm going to watch the movie today too. I've been researching my family's history/tree lately. And I recently found out that I have a relative that was on Pearl Harbor during the attacks. I haven't been able to find out any real details yet, but I'm still hoping.

"December 7, 1941-a date which will live in infamy-" ---Franklin D. Roosevelt.

What a sad day this was. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost their lives on that day and to all the remaining survivors who still live with the horrendous memories of that day.

Pearl Harbor is one of my all-time favorite movies. Not just because it introduced me to a handsome, talented young actor named Josh Hartnett, but because it taught me more about the attack on Pearl Harbor than I ever learned in school.

Yeah, me too.
I had one lesson. I remember so well because it was right after PH came out at the movies. One lesson on PH when I was thirteen and then we started a new project.

I've been watching CNN for all the coverage about PH the last few years. Unfortunately, the only time it was really focused on was when Bush went to Hawaii in 2001 for the memorials. The news coverage has diminished quite a lot. Either that or they just don't bother showing it anymore

We have our own memorial day, every year we think about the many people who did not survived the war and the people who survived the concentration camps… we have Anne Frank who is helping us not to forget what have happened in world war II. I am very interested in al other stories about world war II and just like olive Pearl Harbor is one of my all-time favourite movies. It taught me so much more about the attack on Pearl Harbor and all the things that have happened during the war.

Unfortunately they did not spent any news about the memorial of Pearl Harbor and since I am very busy with moving (we bought a house) the Pearl Harbor DVD was packed in a box. But today I searched trough all boxes and found the DVD and watched it again. I am proud that my favourite actor played in this movie even though he does not really want to be remembered of it…. I still think he did a great job….!

I just read on Yahoo that the USS Arizona Memorial center is sinking!
Has anybody else read anything about it?

Yeah. They're gonna build a new one but I bet it brings back a lot of bad memories for the PH survivors. I mean it's sinking. How ironic is that. But not in a funny way.

At least more people will be aware of it than the number of people commemorating now.

Yeah, but that's supposedly the reason it's sinking now. Cos thousands more people are on it than there's enough room for, and since the movie came out the amount of people has more than doubled.

I wonder if they get a lot of visitors weekly, not counting the anniversary.

I remember seeing somewhere that they go get a lot of visitors. I don't remember what site it was. When I find it I'll post the link.
