"I don't think human beings are monogamous creatures by nature," the actress concedes. "You have to put a lot of effort into a relationship with somebody. People cheat for different reasons with some constantly needing to kind of reaffirm their status as a dominating person; while other people are unhappy in their relationships but they're co-dependent on a partner." I agree with Scarlett on monogomy; it is very hard work sometimes, but that doesn't mean I don't think it's worth the hard work, so who's to say she doesn't think the same. Because she does also say; "I think marriage is a very romantic idea, but when you look at it as an economic necessity I think that's different for different people. But someday when I decide I would like to have children with somebody I think it would be nice to be married." Taken from the full interview here. |

| If this is true, what is clearly apparent to me from all this information is that Scarlett is a successful young woman(emphasis on "young"!)who shouldn't settle down at this point in her life. I don't know where she and Josh will go with their relationship, and, frankly, it's none of anybody's business, but it appears she is not ready for a long-term commitment. I just hope Josh feels the same way. |

And either way it casts a shadow on the other person in the relationship. Like they've been a sitting duck if the relationship ends in some distant future. |
