News of Josh from the set of The Black Dahlia!

Now we know for certain that filming has finally begun on the Dahlia!

Here's some of his report;

...they were shooting a scene with josh hartnett, alone in a house, circling around the room. next, it was in the police station's projection room, where hartnett (presumably after watching the reel), rushes out of the room, saying "... made in hollywood!" this shot took at least 5 takes.

Josh Hartnett was tall. in the first scene, he was with a white shirt and black trousers, while in the police station scene, he was with black trousers and something like very dark green shirt.

...his hair was short, he looked like a soldier, they were fixing him a moustache. his dramatic exit from the room was unsettling, which was the idea i think.

I don't know about anybody else, but I can hardly contain my enthusiasm for this movie. I adore the 40's genre movies.

I am just having all kinds of fantasies about how Josh must look from this account. The only thing I am concerned about is the look of the prosthetic teeth. But I'll just have to get used to them.

Again someone in real life commenting on how tall Josh is... and it sounds like they've started shooting towards the end of the film.

A man's height didn't used to matter to me because I'm a bit short 5'5" on a good day. As long as they were taller than me I was okay - until I saw Josh in PH. [img]graemlins/faint.gif[/img] Prior to him for a long time men of his height usually played geek roles. I'm thinking Matthew Lillard. I am so glad that has changed.

Me too. I'm 5'8" with flats on, so tall guys make me [img]graemlins/faint.gif[/img] :D

I'm 5'9", but Josh would tower over me at 6'3".

I hope we get some behind the scenes pics of Josh soon. I bet the prop mustache looks quite different than his own. I wonder if he wears a mustache throughout the entire movie. :confused:

I'm wondering if by moustache, Space Ace meant more of a few days unshaven growth, than a neat trimmed moustache. I certianly never imagined Bucky with 'proper' facial hair.

No, neatly trimmed mustaches weren't popular in the 40s. So yeah, it would make sense if he had some stubble.

Ooh, can't wait to see pics, wonder how short his hair is!
