So, just for fun, seeing how there's no new projects (apart from a possible Rum Diary) that we know about, has any one got any ideas for Josh's next role? Here's one I'd love to see him involved with; "Flags of Our Fathers" Yes, another war film but I can't help wonder if Josh wouldn't worry about that if it meant working with Clint Eastwood! | ^^Kate, this would be a dream come true for me for Josh to be in this movie with Clint Eastwood directing. And if Steven Spielberg produced, I would be in heaven. Brilliant suggestion! As I have stated before, it really concerns me that Josh doesn't have anything firmed up after TBD. [ March 26, 2005, 09:40 PM: Message edited by: olive ] |

| Creative Maven ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There was a project I heard about a year or so ago but nothing since. It was called Elisa Grey. It was a story based on an Edgar Allen Poe story (if I remember right). It was a story about a young doctor just graduated from med school. He then gets a job at a mental institution and falls for one of the patients. In the end you begin to wonder if he’s not actually a patient himself. I would love to see Josh play someone just a little bit cracked. |

T, that sounds like an amazing plot and role for Josh. [ March 27, 2005, 03:12 AM: Message edited by: Jocasta ]

| I read in our newpaper today that Flags of Our Fathers is set to be Clint Eastwoods next project with Eastwood as director and Steven Spielberg as co-producer. I also read somewhere a while back, although I can't remember exactly where, that this movie has already been cast but that names are not being released yet. I don't know if this is true or not, but time will tell. Josh would be amazing in this movie! We can still hope! |

My husband has read the book and says it is very, very good. I am due to get the book tomorrow, so I'll let you know what I think of it.

| I am in the middle of reading "Flags of Our Fathers" and I have to say that it is one of the most moving books I have ever read. I have cried several times so far. I don't want to put it down! I will probably reread it when I am finished. Anyway, I think that there is a part that would be absolutely perfect for Josh. It's the part of the senior officer, Mike Strank, who, by the way, was only a mere 24 years old. Josh could definitely play 24. On a forum for the book, they are suggesting Matt Damon for the role. Although I love Matt, IMO he just doesn't fit, plus, he's a bit too old at 33. I thought about registering on the forum to suggest Josh for the part, but I didn't. I'm afraid they will once again say that he is "too pretty" to play this tough but much admired and respected hero. Oh well, I can still hope. Maybe all the casting hasn't been done yet. Anyway, Josh would probably not even be interested in another high profile, big budget film! |

| Wonder what ever happened to the film that Josh was attached to at one time by the name of "Wish You Were Here". Does anyone remember that? It sounded really interesting. I'm getting more and more anxious for Josh to sign on to his next project.(other than Rum Diary) Maybe he will after he finishes shooting TBD. I hope so. |
