Johnny Depp moving to private island

Johnny Depp is moving homes again - this time to a private desert island where he'll raise his family.

THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star is relocating from France to an island in the Bahamas, purchased in 2004.

Depp wants his French partner Vanessa Paradis and children Lily-Rose Melody, 7 and Jack, 4, to be able to enjoy a peaceful way of life and feels the remote home will be the ideal spot.

He says, "It's so beautiful there, so peaceful, free and relaxed.

"We want to spend a lot more time there in the future because it's a completely different way of life.

"It'll be our home base, but we'll still spend time in France and in the States, so our children will grow up in both cultures."

Pretty cool he owns a private island, though. I would wanna live on it too, if I had one. Make it into a tavern, totally pirate themed, that would be so awesome. Since it's in the Bahamas, you know

I think it's a good idea for them to move there. For the kids. Like he said: "We want to spend a lot more time there in the future because it's a completely different way of life"

yeah I think so too. They don't have to stand all those freakin paparazis.
aNd they can have some privacy hopefully. Tho depp is really private anyways yeah? You do't see him often in paparazi pics.

yeah i saw him talk about it on letterman. its only like a mile long/wide/whatever

That's true Kicki. I think if you don't want pictures taken you can do a lot to prevent it. Like stay out of LA, NY.. etc. Not like Lindsay Lohan or whoever who go to places to be photographed just to be all, covering their heads with jackets and stuff like they were oh so surprised a paparazis was there.
