| Bunny Gooz ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The film is "based" on the ride from Disneyland, Los Angeles...so I was wondering if they had put a Jack Sparrow in there. It could just be at a wax cabinet, though. Buffy the Vampire Slayer has a wax figure in the London Madame Tusseau, the horror cabinet. Pretty cool ![]() Anyhow, I think the figures from the ride are made out of wax. |

And then it takes you through 'pirate world' ![]() In LA, you first sail around this little island, which is actually a restaurant. So if you're at the restaurant you can see the people sailing past you. It's slow, not like a rollercoaster. Then it takes you to a town, very much like Tortuga. There's a house on fire, singing, and dancing...drinking etc. etc. It's all mechanical dolls(wax figures I think). It's very pretty. Then you sail past a ship. Ghost ship some would call it. At first you can't see it, because there's fog inside the room. Then you see it...this is of course The Black Pearl After that it takes you to a treasure cave, and it looks so much like the one in the film. They did put some effort into making it look like it too. And there's probably some more, but that's pretty much it. Nice little ride. Very beautifully made. There's one in Paris too. I don't remember if the one in LA is going fast at one point, but the one in Paris is. So fast so you 'get scared' and that's when they take a picture, you can buy. One is in a barrel, as you can see above, another Sparrow is dancing with some women in the burning town, his hand is on a woman's hip. The final Sparrow is right at the end of the ride where the huge pile of treasure is, he's seen sitting on it with a goblet of wine and he says something to you as you float by. The lines for the updated Disneyland ride have become impossible since it's re-opening at the same time the new film was released. They also added Barbossa on the battling ship and also added Davy Jones' image in a fake waterfall's reflection. The first movie had several scenes taken from the Disneyland ride, for instance: the prisoners teasing the dog with a bone, who has the key to their locked cell in his teeth. The new movie, Dead Man's Chest also has scenes from the ride as well, including the guy who is pulled up out of the water well, spitting water out of his mouth. If any of you haven't actually seen the new movie yet be sure and stay all the way to the very end of the credits, they show one extra scene, it's no more than five seconds long and it's hilarious. |

I think the second I stepped outside the park, I went: "so totally wanna go again tomorrow" But we didn't. I think, along with the Indiana Jones, the Pirates of the Caribbean was my favorite ride. Aw man, I had to hurry so fast out of there, when I saw the film. I think I'm gonna go again. Do you know if it's just in the American theaters, or all over? |
