My Bloody Valentine 3D starring Jansen Ackles

anyone gonna get this? I'm sure many have already seen the movie and i really don't want to spoil it but Jansen's performance in the movie is great. there are two scenes where you see two sides of his character. When Jansen's character, Tom, gets to the mine for the party that is being thrown there, you see him standing on top of a hill. he looks around and he's just a normal guy about to party. but way later in the movie. Tom is right back at that same spot looking around at the chaos that has happened and he's got a completely different personality and look. he looks so disturbed. especially when he starts to look all around and then looks right into the camera, as if he's looking right at you. creepy.

but if you're going to get the movie watch the 2D version cuz the 3D version is terrible on the small screen. on the big screen it's amazing but they used a different format of 3D on the big screen. they went the old traditional form of 3D for the dvd. you know the old classic two colored lens on the glasses. the theater glasses were clear. guess they realized they coudnt produce the same effect on the small screen. much like the recently re-released "friday the 13th part 3D" on dvd, the 3D does't work all the time. the original friday the 13th 3D used the same clear glasses way back when. what you get is just scenes where characters or objects just stand up or pop up from the background. objects that are supposed to shoot out of the screen don't work. such as when the killer throws the mining axe at the car. the axe does not pop out of the screen at all. in the theater it did. once the axe hits the windshield then that's where you see it in 3D cuz it looks like it pops out of the tv. although the object is no longer moving. and that's the thing. objects that are supposed to be flying right at you no longer do. it's when they finally stop when you see the 3D effect kick in. if you watch the 3D version with out the glasses all you get is a movie with a bunch of green, red, yellow and purple colors all over the place.

oh a warning. obviously this movie isn't for kids. at one point in the movie a completely nude woman is running around the screen for almost 5 minutes, give or take a minute or so. she just runs out of the motel room throws a gun at some guy and then gets chased by the killer into her hotel room. so yeah kids allowed in an R rated movie.

can't wait for the Friday the 13th remake to hit dvd. Jared Padalecki stars in that one. although when i saw that movie i kept wondering when Dean was going to show up and help sam stop Jason. my friend and i saw the movie in the theater and we kept yelling "where is dean? sam needs ya dean!" at one point i said "if dean were here this mess wouldn't have happened."

I have it reserved from Blockbuster for next week. I haven't seen a good old blood and gut horror film that wasn't moronically stupid in a long time. I hope this will not disappoint.

You only need the glasses if you are watching it in a theater equipt to project it in 3D or if your eye sight is significantly less that 20/20. On your TV it will be in 2D.

No, why would you get 3D glasses to view a film that can only be shown in 2D on your TV? It was only shown in 3D in selected and properly equipt theaters and for those showings you ot 3D glasses.

it's already been answered but the dvd release comes with both the normal 2D version and the 3D version. it also comes with a couple of glasses. but the 3D on tv, like i already mentioned does not work right on the tv. some scenes look ok but other scenes in 3D don't cut it.

the director of my bloody valentine 3D has announced that a sequel is being made. lion's gate has already said that they have no interest in releasing the sequel so a new studio is being sought out to distribute it. the director has not given any info on whether or not the movie continues from where the last one left off. so no word yet if jensen will be back or not. i'm thinking not.
