Yeah, I'd heard a few things about that myself, personally I'm not too fond of having a lead singer go solo, I find that's usually the same stuff with a lesser backing band, hopefully she's mixes it up a bit.

I like to refer to it as angry pop, she's got a lot of range though so it's hard to pin down, but it's somewhere in the pop/rock range.
