Brittany Murphy becomes ‘The Ramen Girl’ Murphy trains to become a ramen noodle chef in 'The Ramen Girl.' Brittany Muphy will team up with Japanese actor Toshiyuki Nishida for The Ramen Girl. According to Variety, the film is about an American woman (Murphy) who is stranded in Tokyo after breaking up with her boyfriend. Searching for direction in life, she trains to become a ramen noodle chef under a tyrannical Japanese master (Nishida). Robert Allan Ackerman will direct from a script by Becca Topol. Producing the film are Media 8 Entertainment, Ackerman and Murphy.
