Hey @ll!

I have a question and hope you can give me some information?!

I heard the movie "Pompeii" with Scarlett in a leading role was canceled due to the autor's guild strike. Roman Polanski should make that movie, but got out of this film project. Now everywhere on the internet I read the movie is planned for 2011?? Is it again with Scarlett? What future films can we see with her?

I like movies with Scarlett very very much because I think - in my eyes - she is one of the greatest and most talented actresses in hollywood. In additon I love historical movies. So Pompeii would have been a little dream to me.

Do you know anything about that?

First I've heard of it. Sounds like a good idea to do, though I'm not the authority on Scarlett. I hope Bill or Nola are around to answer your question. Though I would check Variety to see the full story on this project.

I asked the same questions to a internet site in Germany called "Filmstarts.de". There I saw the info, the movie will be out in 2011. They write critics for movies and DVDs, there are news about films and so on...

One of the admins told me, the people owning the rights of that project are still highly interested in seeing the project realized.
But the bad news is that Scarlett and Orlando Bloom - the both main actors - are out of the movie as well as regisseur Polanski.

The project is now in preparation. I hope they can win back Scarlett for leading role :-). The search for actors and regisseur is started. The story of the movie will be written by Robert Harris basing on his own novel. The movie will be at the time of Mt. Vesuv's activity from the view of young ingeneer Marcus Attilius Primus 79 A.D. according to that internet site....

If I hear something more I will share information. Please tell me if u hear something new about that

Another question: Which other films besides "Iron Man 2" with Scarlett are goingt to be released?? Do you know? A new Woody film? I like Allen movies very much...

Glad you could answer Bill. As for the film it would be good to see Scarlett in that role. As for other films, I think Iron Man 2 will take up a good part of her time. As she'll be out doing the promo's, premieres, possibly a voice for the second video game (if it's not being made), and seeing her as an action figure (possibly).

Other than Iron man, her short film from NY I love you (which she only directed). There doesn't seem to be anything else on the calendar right now. Well, there's the whole singing thing..

If I don't remember wrong, neither her or Orlando Bloom were attached to this film, it was another case of name dropping in a new project. Though it sounded well.
