There was no speculation, she simply said she felt like the songs at that time but she didn't write them and are all based in Pete's experiences, not hers.

It's about a break up Pete had with some other girl. Maybe Scarlett thought then about Josh or not, maybe those lyrics remember her to another break up she had with another boyfriend, but the album has nothing to do with Josh Hartnett, this is ridiculous to be honest.

i can´t say if it is or is not about Josh. just from what she said, that the album/song shows where she was in her life in exactly that moment, how she felt.
but well, we will probably never know for sure

She was in that moment experiencing a break-up but that doesn't mean the album is about him, the only way that album could be about Josh would be if he had dated Pete and broke up with him... see how silly this is.
