WOW! Thanks for all that. The CD art is beautiful looking and the pics of her in the trees are amazing. I can't decided whether or not I like her voice...I think I do.

I'll be the first to acknowledge that I didn't have many expectations towards this record, but after listening to "Falling Down", first impression is i'll probably comping it from the net and give it a listen. The production and arrangement sounds a lot like Sigur Ros with a female singer, the vocals are abit too dry but it's alright. There's an overdubbed vocal that happens during the chorus that is straight out of my nightmares.

I'm prejudiced right from the beginning beacuse of all the other actors before her that tried singing. I like it better than I did at the beginning.

Well, the tattoo is real...being they were covering it up..I liked the video and was very glad she was not singing in it. I think the way they put it together went well with the song. Thanks Nola

Author Salman Rushdie has made a cameo appearance in the video for Scarlett Johansson's single 'Falling Down'.

The Satanic Verses writer nuzzles Johansson's neck, makes her laugh and grins at the cameras three minutes into the promo.

'Falling Down' is Johansson's first release from her forthcoming Anywhere I Lay My Head album. The record features a selection of Tom Waits covers performed by the actress.

Johansson recently said that she was tired of being considered a "harlot" just because she is curvaceous and blonde. Her album is released in the UK on May 19.

Now that I listened to it again it reminded me of Nico if Nico wasn't deaf. The single will be pretty receptable in the heroin induced New York arts scene.

Scarlett Johansson says she's frightened of singing live.

Despite releasing an album 'Anywhere I Lay My Head', the Hollywood actress says she doesn't feel confident enough to sing onstage.

She said: "I have crippling stage fright so it would be a challenge for me. I also think it would be weird to do a whole show of covers. It would be nice to play with a band but I'd have to get my head around singing it in front of people."

The 'Other Boleyn Girl' actress, 23, also says convincing David Bowie to sing backing vocals on the album was incredible.

She added: "He leant his voice like an instrument to the album, it's a huge dream for me. I just think it's awesome that he's such an incredible supporter of up-and-coming musicians."

The album, made up of covers of Tom Waits songs, will be released later this month.

I can believe this, I have trouble on stage too!

I only hope if she will ever sing on stage that she will not to what most singers unfortunately do, which is really poor, to sing playback. people who sing playback should just don´t be on stage. that is fake and also fake to their fans. I would be upset if I would go to an event or concert and people on stage would only sing playback. that´s weak!

Blimey an actress with stage fright! Okay it's singing, but it's still performing in front of an audience. Shows she's not arrogant about her ability. As if you're not nervous about performing infront of people, you should get out of the business. Thanks for the info Bill.

i read about her new single in Variety and i really liked it- the music video wasn't my favorite but the song along was good
