Orlando Bloom and Scarlett Johansson to rule "Pompeii"

I had this posted in the news & gossip section but it got overshadowed by the apartment news, so I'm giving it a thread. I know this is just in the talking stages, but I think she's going to be too busy to have time for this, unless it films next year or something.

Yes, Orlando Bloom and Scarlett Johansson reportedly are engaged in talks to take part in historical thriller drama "Pompeii (2008/II)" that Oscar-winning filmmaker Roman Polanski is set to direct. Pic recently got picked up by Summit Entertainment to be distributed worldwide with RAI Cinema obtaining all Italian rights to it.

An adaptation of Robert Harris' New York Times best-selling novel, the movie will chronicle the days leading up to the destruction of the city through the eyes of a young engineer named Marcus Attilius, who is assigned to repair the greatest aqueduct in the Roman Empire. It already has a projected August start and is planned to be shot for five months with Polanski helming from the script he wrote alongside Harris.

Well, Scarlett it much to old for him. Next to Polanski, Woody kinda looks normal.

That's a good point MSFixR. Sounds like an interesting film too. But I thought Orlando wanted ''time off'' after doing Pirates of the Carribbean 3?

I just read where her publicist has said this rumor is Untrue. And to think we gave her a whole thread for it and everything.
