here there are two reports:

Just when The Jesus And Mary Chain appeared to be winding things down, Johansson took the stage dressed in a colourful paisley mini-dress. Without saying a word, she joined Reid on the chorus of Just Like Honey.

“Wasn’t that nice?” Reid asked after they finished their duet and Johansson left the stage.

Let’s get this out of the way: As widely predicted, Scarlett Johansson joined the Jesus & Mary Chain onstage Friday night at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. But if that’s what you were waiting around for, you were probably disappointed.

The young actress came out wearing a paisley minidress and a straw hat toward the end of the legendary shoegazer band’s set, its first in eight years, to stand at center stage beside Jim Reid. Her job? To repeatedly sing the title line in Just Like Honey, a song recorded when she was an infant. Johansson looked a bit nervous and left the stage immediately upon finishing the song; she said nothing to the crowd. As to her vocal abilities, she didn’t do anything that anyone else couldn’t do. She may be a capable singer, but this performance didn’t prove anything.

the second reviewer is an ass, i mean, didnt he get this was more about scarlett singing the song that closed LIT where she starred and not about she trying to prove that she can sing? i bet he missed that fact.

thanks for that link, damn i have some vids done in a music festival and they sounds perfectly, i dont know why they got the sound so wrong...

Scarlett Johansson Rocks The Coachella Music Festival

INDIO, Calif. (April 28, 2007) -- Move over Britney! Actress Scarlett Johansson proved her singing mettle taking the main stage at the Coachella music festival last night.

The star joined reformed Scottish band the Jesus and Mary Chain to sing vocals on the track "Just Like Honey."

Wearing a mini dress, fedora hat and cherry red high heels, Scarlett joined the band on stage three-quarters of the way through their set. The band"s singer, Jim Reid did not tell the thousands in the crowd who their special guest was but hugged her at the end of the song.

Scarlett's break out film, "Lost In Translation," which co-starred Bill Murray was soundtracked by Jesus and Mary Chain Songs.

Though she has been the only film star to appear on stage this weekend so far, dozens of celebrities have turned up for the annual event which will have attracted almost 100,000 by Sunday night. Among the celebs who have been spotted in the crowd are Coachella regulars Danny DeVito, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.
