Scarlett's enjoyment of British pub grub added to her voluptuous figure

The star's sweet tooth and her love of British pubs caused her to pile on so many pounds that a number of scenes had to be reshot for the movie, which features Star Wars actress Natalie Portman as King Henry VIII's second wife Anne Boleyn and Scarlett as her sister Mary.

"There was some reshooting," says a source. "The problem was that Scarlett piled on weight during filming and there was concern that she looked thin in some scenes and heavier in others."

The 22-year-old American, right, was recently voted the sexiest woman in Hollywood.

She developed a weakness for British fare during filming in Cambridgeshire this summer.

"Scarlett looks sensational in the movie, but the problem has been that her weight has gone up and down like a yo-yo because she likes her food.
"She's a fan of British pubs and she really tucks in so it was a case of tightening the corset stays."

i think this is not really true because when they did the re-shoots a couple of weeks ago there was a scene of a wedding not involving scarlett, so i dont think it was all because she looked thinner in some scenes and heavier in others.

Oh I'm sure it was made up, just to put another story out there. I do like the way they dug up a pic of her eating there though.

I'd sure like to be in Eric Bana's position between those two gorgerous and talented actresses.

i read a review from someones blog who has watched this film and when i asked her about scarletts performance she said:

To be honest, I found her character rather flat, so there was not as much to work with, in my opinion, especially compared with Natalie Portman, who I think owned the film. Even though she was the title character. She was good enough though, considering everything. I think as a fan you will like it.

the bad thing about this film would be the comparison between both actresses and if natalie's got the best part you know whos going to loose...

The comparison is inevitable. I wonder how this person got to see the film since it has not been released yet and is listed as being in post production on IMDb.

there has been a screening and a few reviews were released by critics. this person was someone from the audience, a very lucky one.

I'm not sure what real purpose reviews serve (other than advertising). If you know the basic plot of a film, the cast, and possibly the director, you should be able to decided whether or not you want to spend your money and time to see it. Granted it may turn out to be a real stinker but do you really need someone whose taste in films may or may not match yours, telling you what film to see or not see? In practice I almost always disagree with the critics who write for the local newspaper. They are a bunch of elitist snobs (even more so than I).

Youre right Fix. What also confuses me it that a lot of reveiwers praise the film b4 its official release, than a whole other crew bashes it when it comes out.

Do you wonder if they even watch the films they review. As far as IMDb goes, notice how the ratings start high and then decline. I believe there are two factors at work here. First there are people viewing the film who are predisposed to liking the film and therefore ranking it high. Second I believe the ballot box is being stuffed by the film's crew to influence attendance and hence return.

I often really like films that most reviewers dislike so I pay very little attention to them, as you guys have stated. As for the review eme posted:

I found her character rather flat
