"OMG! I met her and she was sooo cute and nice. She signed an autograph and took pictures. She was nervous and sweet but fun and honest. I loved it. There were only about 6o people in the room. It was surprisingly intimate, which was really nice. She joked, luaghed and was just an all around normal, cordial and intelligent person. I really respect her now not only as an actress but as a person for putting her celebrity behind Obama's campaign. Screw Oprah (blaspheme, i know!) Scarlett got my vote for Obama!"

Scarlett Set to Direct?!

Woody Allen muse Scarlett Johansson will soon make her directorial debut this year in New York, I Love You, PageSix.com has learned exclusively.

The project, in which Allen will also participate, taps 12 directors to create five-minute films, all love stories set in NYC.

Johansson and Allen will join confirmed directors Anthony Minghella and Mira Nair on the project, from the producers of Paris, J’Taime, a similar flick from 2006.

ScarJo, a New York native and granddaughter of Danish filmmaker Ejner Johansson, is taking the leap with a series of acting projects on the burner.

Reports surfaced yesterday that Johansson was approached by Courtney Love to play her in Heavier Than Heaven, a forthcoming Kurt Cobain biopic.

this sounds terribly interesting as long as it is a small project, i love 'paris, je t'aime'!

kirsten dunst made last year a shortfilm and it was fabulous so im quite intrigued with what scarlett would do.

I think a five minute film is something she could have fun with, and with so many other people involved, even if it comes out crappy, there may be enough other talent to save the project. Also, let's not forget, Woody will be around for lots of advice.

Having actors who weren't New Yorkers never seemed to concern Woody himself even in his most New York of films, ie Manhattan and Annie Hall.

Interesting news. I'm with Bill in that a five minute film would be great. You know something to get her feet wet and kinda experience what directing is about. Though I'm not sure her doing Courtney Love in a biopic. I eman we've only just got past the Jenna Jameson rumours.
