I love the Calvin Klein one. The groovy Flamenco music, the hot guy

. The Glam Shine one I laughed at. The GAP one was trying too hard to be young and fesh, failed miserably. Sexiest of the lot was the L'Oreal body moisturizer one..... Suddenly I feel like switching my beauty regime to all L'Oreal prods

Calvin Klein is a classic inspite of the insipid music and grease-ball guy. Know what's in Glam Shine? Its particles of mica in goat fat.

Actually I was kidding about the goat fat. They used to use that or something equally repulsive, now they use a synthetic base. The mica part was true. I interviewed at a company which produced the basic ingredients for various cosmetics and the guy was showing me all kinds of interesting things. So pucker up baby, I want to kiss the old goat.

Oh, be careful FixR.... You crap on about how these cosmetics are made from goat fat, talc and the occasional splat of mini-plastics, but would you really want us gals to let ourselves go and look au naturale? Christ, then we'd be just like men!

^ So true....... And yet most of us girls feel the need to get up at least an hour earlier than our men to smear our faces in gunk to "feel confident" in order to succeed in the workplace.... Oi, vai!

Anyhow, no I'm not familiar with her. I'm middle of the road on this issue, though. If women want to do it, then let 'em. I'm a lush from way back myself. But when it comes to needing to do it for the workplace, well that's just wrong. Despite how far we've come from the dark ages before feminism, there are still some, if not many, workplaces that require women to wear make-up and look a certain way to do their job. Now if this was on a cosmetics counter, fine, but I'm talking about cafes, restaurants, receptionists, etc... Hell, even in the Business world women are still expected to wear make-up. That blows.

Dress for both men and women here is fairly casual, sometime too casual in my opinion. It depends on whether you are solely in the lab or if you have contact with people from outside the lab (salemen, patients, technical people, etc.). I've always believed in erring on the side of more formality rather than less.

As you probably know, there are multiple levels, and each has it's own protocols and dress codes specifically tailored to the damned residents of each.
