Scoop Release Date

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Scoop for 21st November 2006 priced at $29.98 SRP. Scarlett Johansson and Hugh Jackman star in Woody Allen’s latest, a twisted tale of murder and mystery. When an inquisitive college journalist (Johansson) stumbles upon new clues to a string of murders, her investigation leads directly to a handsome businessman (Jackman), who draws her in with his mysterious charm. Could a whirlwind romance with the subject of her search also become the most dangerous scoop of a lifetime?

Presented in 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen with English DD2.0 Mono audio and optional English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles, extras (if any in this case) are TBC.

That was fast. The normal time between theatrical release and DVD release is six months. Scoop premiered on July 28th. It made a bit of money but not as much as the studio or Allen expected, I guess.

that is a quick release. i sadly, hadn't heard of it here. was it limited release?

I'm pretty sure it was wide release. Only two thing I can think of is it didn't make a lot of money.....and Christmas shopping is right around the corner
