| A fan of James called Fenderlove live blogged the event and has graciously allowed her report to be reposted
If you want to repost it any where please credit fenderlove and include the link to livejournal http://fenderlove.livejournal.com.
As you might notice from the video some words are missing but remember it was being transcribed live
I'm highlighted the Sarah sections for you Quote:
First question: Best memory of each other (which is a little awkward since they've not really worked with Kristy).
Julie: Apparently someone thought someone thought that she was Kristy Swanson at Starbucks. She and Charisma have a lot of experiences that are fun along with James.
Charisma: Lots of fun memories.
James: Watching them on film.
Second question: What was the moment that made you want to start acting and what was the moment that made you want to stick with acting.
James: Watching his family being snippy with another so that he could leave to go to rehearsal. He figures he wanted to be an actor in about fourth grade.
Charisma: Wanted to be her own made woman. She said she never had a casting couch moment (Julie says they're not bad Laughing). She says that acting with Jeff Goldbloom in an audition was a highlight.
Kristy: She started doing commercial work, and she loved Jack Lemmon (James says he's the best actor in the world, and Charisma remembers seeing Jack Lemmon's big giant poodle). Kristy loves being both an actor and a mom.
Julie: Was a figure skater at 3, and she suffered an injury at 13 that stopped her competing. Her mother dragged her to auditions and commercial work. She eventually went back to skating, but she knew she didn't have a future in it because there's no longevity. She says she's not qualified to anything but act (Charisma says her dad fired her from her waitressing job. Julie was a secretary at a fitness club).
Question 3: Bad guy or good guy?
Bads all around. XD
Question 4: For Charisma- Were you sad that you missed being the musical episode?
Charisma: Hell no.
Question 5: For Charisma- Did you want to be a vampire?
Charisma: No, the makeup takes too long.
Question 6: For Charisma- Who was Cordelia's favourite kiss?
Charisma: Not Connor. Thought that was a gross storyline. Said Vincent K. had some hygeine issues but he was very sweet. Nicholas Brendan was her favourite kiss.
Question 7: Question about Michael Jackson's death.
James: Didn't think that the Jackson 5 didn't knock down the doors for Africa American musicians on the radio. Thought his death was sad, but that he didn't much think about it. He liked Otis Redding, the Jackson 5, and the Patridge Family when he was a kid.
Question 8: Who would you want to work with most on Buffy?
James: Meryl Streep, but on Buffy, he got to act with everyone. John Billingsly (guest spot on Angel).
Charisma: Wanted to work with John Ridder.
Kristy: Worked with everyone. (James wanted to know what it was like to act with Rudger Howe?)
Julie: She had to run off stage for a phone call. James asked if he could spank her for running off stage. James answers for her, using Julie's voice. "I still dream of James Marsters... when I think about him, my heart flutters like a butterfly... I called him Spike one night, it was very bad."
James tells a story about his girlfriend during In the Dark was jealous of Juliet Landua, so she pretended to have a crush on David so James wore lifts on his guest appearance.
Question 9: Favourite Episode:
Julie: Darla.
Charisma: The one with the Cordy sitcom and You're Welcome.
James: OMWF. He used the word consternation. Good for him. Laughing Question 10: Differences and similarities between working on Buffy and Angel:
Charisma: She had more screentime.
Julie: Bigger soundstage. Commissary. She got to see Sean Penn.
James: On Buffy they were on the flight path of 3 airfields. SMG had hypersensitive ears. Apparently one of the producers of Angel would just come in at 2PM and tell him "Don't give a hoot. Just shoot shoot shoot."
Question 11: For Charisma and Julie: What's it like to work with Slyvester Stallone?
Julie: It was a learning experience. He's amazing. They received death threats from the Burmese government. He told her that every bit of film exists forever, so you must give 150% while you're on set and not phoning in a performance. She said she phoned in "Locust: the 8th Plague." Laughing
Charisma: Julie reccommended her for a part in the Expendibles which is coming out soon. She says he was very talented sculptor and painter, and that amazed her. Question 12: How did you like working with SMG:
James: Thinks of SMG as his little sister, and it became frustrating. He feel in love with Buffy in DMP and how she tried so hard. And how she flounced about the chicken hat ("Everyone's been making fun of the stupid hat! I didn't expect it from you!")
Charisma: She often thought just about reading her lines, but she learned to think about her posture and mannerisms, and SMG taught her how to think about what's coming next.
James: Michelle Tratchenburg brought her sides to set, and SMG took them out of her hands and threw them. Laughing
Julie: Has known SMG a long time- they both auditioned for Kendall on All My Children. You have to watch your competition when you audition for a soap, and she knew that SMG would get the part. By the time, Btvs came around, SMG handled the pressure with grace, dignity, and balls Laughing
Question whatever: Would you like to be on Dollhouse and what would you play? Has Joss approached you?
Charisma: No, no, no. Doesn't watch it.
James: Only if he could be the lead.
Kristy: Doesn't know the show.
Julie: Freaked out at the episode which the woman is hunted. She talked to Eliza about it, but she had to stop watching the show. The questioner balked and said "You work on Dexter!" Julie says that Dexter is a loveable serial killer.
Repeat question of evil or nice. Question 14? How do you navigate the changes between your characters change between good and evil, even when the audience is sympathetic to the evil characters?
Julie: Darla wasn't evil, just misunderstood. She couldn't let Angel go. Darla, however, was never nice. When Joss told her that Darla was human, Julie got upset, but she liked it eventually. Then Joss changed her back. She never knew what was going on.
Charisma: She didn't like the Homecoming episode because she went to the emergency room. Sarah wrote her a note "Nice way to get a free nose job." She didn't like playing a ditzy character, and Greenwalt told her that that's why America loves Cordelia with all the layers to her character. She didn't like S4 of Angel, and she never bought her own performance. She wants the whole season wiped out of existance.
James: Says we're often evil in real life, selfishness or chosen ignorance, but we're always thinking that we're the hero. James never perceived Spike as evil. He was his own hero and cheering section. Laughing
Question 15: For Julie- Something about getting a role that was a twist on predator and prey. What drew you to the part? And the question extends to the rest of the panel.
Julie: Just liked the part. She got to be a gothic school girl bite a hot guy.
Charisma: She almost turned it down because she was on Malibu Shores, but she got a call from her head agent and he encouraged her. It all happened, and it was magic.
Kristy: She had a choice between two movies at the time. Luke Perry pushed the director and producers to pick Kristy, but she was involved in Under Seige. She had a choice between Buffy or playing a chick coming out of a cake, so she picked Buffy 'cause it was a better role and she loved the character.
Last question: Request for James: Could Spike show some appreciation for this dude's girlfriend?
James does the voice.
