Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze Jr. Are Expecting

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are expecting their first child together, a source close to the couple confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. "They're very excited," says the source, adding that the actress is due in the fall.

Gellar, who has been married to Prinze for six years, will next shoot the HBO pilot The Wonderful Maladays, for which she serves as an executive producer. Prinze recently shot the comedy pilot No Heroics for ABC.

I wonder if that Buffy movie rumor that was going around this week and especially the part about Buffy being a mother was a bit of misdirection .

Seems a very weird coincidence otherwise.

ok. i think i am finally getting over the shock..... IF it is true, i hope she confirms soon, as i know its a private thing to go through, but i don't like the fact some celebs hide it and just let their baby bump do the talking (Eg: JLO and Christina). i'm always like just confess and have over with.

but either way, if true i wish her a nice easy pregnancy with a healthy bundle of joy at the end. Definatly a buffy baby year....
