I guess it must be hard having those exceptions! Is pronounciation also a major factor in speaking Portugese? Nice avatar there! Really nice Priscilla! *Sarah_Fan4Ever* that's a nice avatar too. Though I'm not a fan of either of them. |

I rolled up on my motorcycle and went into Mass and wondered why I was getting a lot of quizzical looks. Turns out the Mass was in Portugese! It must have been a church for the Portugese immigrants to that area from the 1700's. The people there were very friendly and I kept going there until I was assigned to my ship some months later. |

With my Missal (and its Latin/English translation) I could easily follow the service. Attending services in Spain, Italy, etc., I was basically just reacting to what other people were doing (stand, kneel, communion time). ![]() |

well Priscella!(English) I wish I could understand my mom's Portuguese friends! Also, my mom understands Latin but sadly I don't. I wish I knew what the pope said last week during Mass here in the USA! Hola Amigos y Amigas! Sorry, I was in the mood to speak spanish! ![]() Last edited by bigbear : 05-09-2008 at 03:17 AM. | |
