Just adding that with that casting notice you posted the other day it seems they are not expanding the role of Mother and Father since they both have 13 or so lines according to it

No kidding - she was great in that role! And I can't wait to see how this book is played out on the big screen. I'm assuming it will have smaller stories of the other patients, just to give the story some depth, but will focus on Veronika and Edward - with the last part of the movie all about their escape. Do you think this movie will be released at the end of this year? Is that too hopeful? I'm wondering if it could be released at the same time as other artsy films that want to be considered for awards... Maybe I'm way ahead of myself. Just excited!

No offense, but I get a lil queasy when folks mention awards for her movies after the speculation whether she would be nominated for TAIB, etc.

I hope so too, Mary Elizabeth, but we all know that Sarah is not with the "In Crowd" in Hollywood and is considered a free spirit that doesn't bend to the hot air that eminates from that place. Half the battle in getting nominated for anything in Tinseltown is marching to the celebrity drum beat and Sarah won't do that.

I just put that down to youthful exuberance and the fact people liked the movie and Sarah's performance in it .You for your own reasons , which I never been entirely clear on , didn't .Each to their own though .

Personally I never took part in such speculation since most of these awards I think are very political and it's not necessarily the best movie,actor that has won or even in some cases had a chance to win

On TV Buffy's a particular case in point for that .Praised by ctitics for it's writing and acting of varous cast members etc and what does it win an emmy for music and I think hair

ETA Since I started typing I see Ohiofan has mentioned the "politicals" angle as well

It would be nice if Sarah got recognition for her work. But she'd have to 'play ball' with the execs.
