Saying wrapped in NYC makes me think that casting notice in LA is for VDTD to do some pick up shots there .

Veronika has a life that resembles every 24 year old girl’s dream: she’s intelligent, attractive, lives in New York City, has a loving family and has a steady job at a powerful bank. But for Veronika, her existence harbors no excitement or thrill of the unknown, and one night, these feelings of apathy drive her to find “freedom” in an overdose of sleeping pills. However, Veronika does not succeed in ending her life, and instead awakes in Villete, an asylum in upstate New York, where she is told by the head of institution, Dr. Blake, that her suicide attempt has severely weakened her heart leaving her with only days to live. In a sedative-induced haze, Veronika finds companionship in the comical Claire and the rehabilitated Mari, and finds something even greater in a relationship with Edward, the son of a powerful politician who has been diagnosed as schizophrenic and left at Villete to save his family from embarrassment. With these new friendships and a burgeoning appreciation for existence, Veronika starts to question the definition of insanity.

Thanks to henry1916 on IMDB for finding this.

During the five hours that I stayed on set, I watched two scenes being filmed. One of the scenes was inside Veronika’s apartment .... Afterwards, we all went to the front of the building, for the last scene of the day. I was waiting for the scene to start, when the actress Sarah Michelle Gellar surprised me by asking if I would like to be part of the movie! Of course I accepted and in five minutes I was in the movie as an extra. Sarah Gellar was one of the nicest people on set, she not only invited me to be part of a scene, but she talked to me between takes and was even more pleasant to me on my second day.

According to Goldman, they just wrapped filming, and now they have to work on the postproduction. He said they hope to launch the movie in festivals such as Cannes and Sundance next year and are planning for a major worldwide release.

If I'm not mistaken, it's someone who wrote to Mr Coelho (Livia Ruas) who got the set visit and a chance to be an extra. That doesn't mean that Mr Coelho doesn't appear in the film as well

Makes me think I should have tried this lol. Guessing that Livia Ruas knows Mr Coelho though
