Possible New Film Role: Gellar in talks for 'Veronika' - Page 2

Thanks for all the posters and info here guys. It's very likely that they'll do it in NYC. I'm hoping that this will prove to be a great role for Sarah. Okay it's not going to be international blockbuster, but she'll have a much better role to stretch herself by doing something like this.

I don't mean to kill your hopes priscilla but that's exactly what I expected with The Air I Breathe (it was filmed here in Mexico so I expected even a premiere! lol) but I hope you have better luck.

^ Shame that did not happen for you. The thing is it didn't have that great a promotion that it deserved as well. Fingers crossed for this one for her. Don't want to panic anyone, but what about the actors contract being up in June? I hope that it doesn't affect this film by seeing yet another crippling strike.

I was just being overly hopeful Anahi, I know that probably wont happen...but Paulo Coelho is indeed brazilian so.....who knows....besides Sarah would be all over Brazil anyway so no complaints

I think this would be a quick shoot .If they keep it relatively close to the book most of the action takes place in the one location

Sarah has said that was the case for Possession and that was filmed in just about 6 weeks

So unless shooting was delayed to early May I don't think that would necessarily be a problem

Yeah good point spdub. Indie films do get done pretty quickly, and are usually well made.

Did a bit of checking and that cast list was posted on March 11th

One thought that struck me was that the role must have only become availabe to Sarah after she did the live interviews on The View etc because surely she wouldn't have said she was going to Africa at the end of the month , she would have given no definite time , if she had known she was going to be in negotiations for a movie that was starring production on March 18th

Of course that thought only works if she wanted to be in the US while negotiations where underway

I was listening to the fan podcast and just after Sarah says she is just back from Africa she appears to say she starts Veronika next month

Lot of fan noise though but she says "next ? I start an adaption of Veronika"
