So the film is being sent to the AFM. Will they decide on the certificate for the film, or is it more of finding a distributor for the film?

Its about finding distributors for the movie , or as in the case of Veronika , more distributors as it already has distributors for 16 countries according to one of the producers .Germany is the only country we know at present .

Thanks for the info spdub. I'm hoping it gets more distributors. I'm guessing then the BBFC will give it a 15 certificate here then.

Minimum 15 I would think in Britain Andy.Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't an 18 .

Yes, AFM is the US equivalent of the Cannes Film Market (NOT the Cannes Film Festival though). They will have footage available for buyers, not for the general public.

Ohiofan - All film markets are international events, the fate of movies in the US is decided just as much in France during Cannes, in Germany during Berlin, etc...
