So, has anyone read Wolves At The Gate? Just a little spoiler, with a bit of a surprise!

(By the way, has anybody heard anything about future Buffy novels?)

Yep, Ive seen that on imdb Ed. Whedon ruined Buffy, and Im not just talking about this lesbian thing, what I mean is: giant Dawn, flying Willow, Buffy turning into a bank robber ?!!!?!!!? The whole thing is ridiculous and in my opinion destroys 7 seasons of one of the best shows ever...If a movie does happen in the future...I wont see it...not even for Sarah.

I read this several days ago and I can't say I'm too thrilled with this development. Joss has a long history of wanting to shock us and trick us into believing one thing when it's exactly the opposite. I've always sort of divided what happened on the TV show from the comic. To me the comic is pure fantasy while I felt part of the TV show. That was part of the magic. You felt like you were a Scooby. What has transpired in the comic just doesn't feel like it's something our Buffy would ever do. If she did one would think it would have been with Faith if anyone at all. I've always been one to wait and see how something plays out before making any decisions. I do wonder what Sarah thinks of this. She has always hinted that the Buffy/Angel relationship was the most important thing to her and I don't see how Buffy could think anything else. Even if there is a film I doubt that this would be a part of it. We'll just have to wait and see.

No new "Buffy" novels that I've heard of, Ed, but I did just have these two books sent to me from Amazon:
Undead TV: Essays on Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Q Guide to Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I heard about this Ed. Pat is right, Joss will surprise us and we think one thing and he'll do another. Only future issues will tell what happens. (Probably badly, as that always happens with Buffy and when she does 'The Nasty' with someone. Angel, Reilly, Spike... You get the picture )

Very interesting. I wonder then if it'll be the one that's 'slept' with her? That would mean that Buffy would have to take care of business. Also is that the one who kissed Buffy to wake her up from Amy's spell?

From what i've read, the Angel season 6 comic is lame too.

I imagine Joss has the comics layed out for quite a few issues ahead already. He usually had an entire season of Buffy done in his mind before they even started shooting.

Darko - the girl is one of the newly activated Slayers.
