Thats great to hear Ed ! Ill probaly have to wait a few months to buy it cause the freightage to Brazil is really expensive, it will cost me around 70 dollars to get this DVD...Ill have to save up some money...

Got DVD from blockbuster today..best part was I could FF thru the non-Sarah parts so finished the movie in 30 minutes and saved 2 hours of wtf lol

Holy Cow, Priscilla! (Yes - I'm an old person and can use that expression!) That is a heck of a bit of postage! Sorry to hear that.

My order with DVD co.uk say its UK release is 31/3/08; and Suburban Girl on 14/4/08.

Well, Sarah looked absolutely scrumptious and her performance was a combination of sexy and funny. BUT, I don't think I'll be sitting through it again, unless I fast-forward just to see Sarah's performances. It did hold my attention for its 144 minutes, but - plainly put - I wasn't thrilled by it, especially with the very end. Recommended just to Sarah's ardent fans...which includes everyone reading this.

^ Thanks Ed! I think I'll try and see the whole film. Just to see what the fuss is about. Thank you little t for the release date over here. I didn't realise ST was that close. I knew about SG though, can't forget that date! Poor Priscilla! That's a ridiculous ammount to pay for importing a dvd! It's not a huge crate for goodness sake! Hope you can get it, or even wait unti SG is out. It's up to you.

OK, this doesn't happen very often with me: I actually did watch ST again, all the way through. And ya know what, it was better the second time around. This may be one of those movies that grows on you.

Okay - I must be on the looney fringe side, but I actually got most of what was going on. Of course, I loved "Dr Strangelove" with Peter Sellers! I think you're right about having to see it more than once, Ed. I definitely did not like the ending and there was NOT enough of Krysta! I'll be waiting to hear your opinion, Andy, when you get it in the UK.

Ah, "Dr Strangelove or How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb": a superior classic! My favorite scene: when Major Kong (Chill Wills) rides the bomb down, whooping, like he's on a bronco. And they definitely needed more Krysta in ST!!

Though I'm a bit confused about the use of Dr Strangelove. I guess that's sort of the way it is in it's narrative then?

It's just the same kind of dark comedy, Andy. It's not really mentioned in ST. I don't want to say too much as it might spoil the movie for you. We'll compare notes after you've seen it!
