We knew he was down there somewhere. I don't think they actually let us know. We do know the hellmouth is directly under the library, but they never confirm that is the exact location of the Master. We see the name of the cemetery in NKABOTFD when Giles goes there alone.

Bugger. Wasn't it a guy? Mentioned I mean, but it was a woman who was killed on screen by Spike when Willow was going to make a potion. Wasn't it 14 deaths as well? Before Giles took over.
