The horror fantasy film will shoot in Langley, BC starring actress Sarah Michelle "Buffy" Gellar as 'Alice'. I wonder if it'll use a lot of CGI in it as well? If so I doubt that it'll be ready for a July '08 release. I still would like this to be made, as it can be quite a dark film, if they stick with the ideals of the game. Plus I wondered who the director was, so I looked him up and found out he did Pathfinder last year and is slated to do the remake of the original Friday the 13th. Upon which I saw that a certain Nicolas Brendon was in the cast list. I wondered what he was doing post Buffy... Fogot to add, is this film already got a script? Just wondering with the writers strike in place. if it hasn't well July '08 is a very optimistic release date. |

| Member ![]() ![]() | I too was wondering about the July 2008 release because of the writers strike and CGI, which I'm sure they will have since it is dark and based on a video game... But hey - the idea that its still a possibility is awesome! And it would be fine if it has to be pushed off a little because thank goodness we will get a good Sarah-dose with TAIB, SG, Possession, and the DVD release of ST... |

And by what we heard Sarah say on Nov 2nd interview she said that getting a studio involved was difficult So it seems that til at least the start of November the only thing holding up the movie was financing

so then wouldn't the writer's strike actually help this get financing? with a limited number of scripts ready with actors, it seems like hollywood would still want to be putting out new movies and not let the writer's strike hurt them too much... what do y'all think?
