Still no mention of Sarah's trip to Africa on the CARE website. It will probably be in their monthly magazine as her trip to Guatemala was.

I'm getting the feeling after seeing Sarah in Bev Hills Starbucks again this past Sunday, she probably won't be back in NYC till, say, May 11th.

There is an Africa Journal on CARE's web site.i've checked it if anything about Sarah.On page 12 it says "Sarah's journal".Is it our Sarah?

Date on it is wrong for Sarah.It says March 30th

Anything for Sarah should be end of February until mid March

It's strange we haven't seen anything about her trip. There was just that one newspaper photo. It may be because of all the major problems going on after that cyclone.

I think that might be because Sarah is letting CARE deal with publicity for the trip whatever way they want

Unlike some "stars" I don't get the impression Sarah is involved with Care for personal publicity

The first we knew she was involved with CARE was when CARE mentioned it in a press release on their website in June 2007 and Sarah had gone to and come back from Guatemala .

It was a few months before Sarah even mentioned it herself ( after CARE had given it publicity in their magazine ) and she had ample chance to mention it when she was opening the Harrods sale with various interviews there in July 07

I think we will probably hear more about her Africa trip when CARE decide to give it publicity in whatever form and not before that.

I agree, Spdub. Everyone here knows Sarah doesn't do what she does for CARE for publicity. I was referring to CARE wanting the publicity, but I think they are overwhelmed right now with the cyclone victims and the rising cost of food cutting deeply into their relief efforts. As a regular contributor, I'm getting emergency appeals for those two situations in particular.

They probably released that one photo we saw to keep publicity ticking over but as you say further use of her trip for CARE publicity purposes is probably being pushed back to deal with more pressing issues

Great comments there guys. With Sarah you get the feeling that she wants to do this work with Care, because she can do. Not because it'll raise her profile, but because she believes in their causes. As for the publicity, notice how the pics we have seen seem to be candid shots and not a seemingly stage photo oportunity? Care's doing it their way, promoting the causes, and not the famous person who's helping them.
